How to watch the World Cup in Pakistan

Last Updated:

As is the case every four years, the FIFA 2022 tournament in Qatar is the hottest sporting event of 2022. Sadly, the Pakistan National Team will not be competing in this year’s tournament. However, Pakistanis can still watch the exciting event unfold in a number of ways. Here’s how.

TV Channels to Watch World Cup 2022 in Pakistan

The streaming rights for Qatar 2022 in Pakistan belong to the Dubai-based ARY Digital Network, named for Haji Abdul Razzak Yaqoob, the Pakistani businessman who founded the company. However, as people from Pakistan know, this is not the name of the TV channel.

ARY Media owns a variety of television channels available in Pakistan and throughout Southeast Asia, but in the country, ARY will be airing the games on A Sports, the country’s first television network dedicated to showing and discussing sports in high definition.

How to Stream Qatar 2022 in Pakistan

The games can be streamed in HD throughout Pakistan through ARY ZAP, the media network’s official streaming platform. It is available through a web browser, the Apple App Store, and Google Play. The app can be used to watch the games by Pakistanis traveling outside of the country as well, as long as it is authenticated with an official account.

This is the only way to view full matches in the country, as the A Sports app does not offer live viewing and only has recaps and highlight videos.

Devices to Live Stream Qatar 2022 in China

Since the ARY Zap mobile app is available on Apple and Google Play, there are a wide variety of device options to watch the games, either connected to a television or for on-the-go watching.

Apple iPhones and iPads can be used to watch the matches, which will also be available on the Apple TV, either directly through the app or by screen mirroring from an iPhone or iPad. Android phones and tablets will also be able to stream the contests.

They can also be viewed on a laptop or PC through a web browser and cast to a television that is equipped with a Google Chromecast or a similar device.
