St Louis BattleHawks Overview

Starting in 2024, the BattleHawks were in the XFL Conference of the UFL.

The St Louis BattleHawks were 3-2 in the last (2020) season before the COVID-19 pandemic shut the XFL down. But they are back in the eight-team league with a three-year deal to play home games at the Dome at America’s Center (the old Rams stadium when they were in Missouri). Anthony Becht returns as head coach as do offensive coordinator Bruce Gradkowski and defensive coordinator Donnie Abraham.

The 2024 roster features some impressive talent like former NFL quarterback AJ McCarron (Bengals, Raiders, and Texans). It also features strong players from the NCAA.

The BattleHawks’ lineup contains a stronger collection of talent than one might predict for a new spring league.

The offense features running backs Mataeo Durant, Wayne Gallman, and Jacob Saylors; wide receivers Marcell Ateman, Ja’Marcus Bradley, Hakeem Butler, Darion Chafin, Blake Jackson, Jerome Kapp, Steven Mitchell, Darrius Shepherd, and Jeff Thomas; and tight ends Kemari Averett and Jake Sutherland.

The defense features linebackers Emeke Egbule, Travis Feeney, Chris Garrett, Willie Harvey Jr, Drew Lewis, Callahan O’Reilly, Mike Rose, Pita Taumoepenu, Carson Wells, and Lakiem Williams; and defensive backs Dravon Askew-Henry, Nico Bolden, Qwynnterrio Cole, Ben DeLuca, Tim Harris, Lavert Hill, Kameron Kelly, Keylon Kennedy, Chris Payton-Jones, Brandon Sebastian, and Mykael Wright.
