If you enjoy cars and motorsports, you will likely want access to MAVTV. Although the station has undergone several formatting changes since its birth in 2004, it now focuses exclusively on auto racing and related content.
The channel is owned by Lucas Oil, which is a top brand in the racing world. The company was one of the channel’s top sponsors before it became its owner.
What Is MAVTV?
MAVTV is the primary television home of most racing leagues that are not affiliated with NASCAR. For example, it broadcasts a number of events that are sponsored by the United States Auto Club (USAC). The USAC is affiliated with racing leagues such as the AMSOIL National Sprint Car tour, the Honda National Midget Car Championship, and the Silver Crown Series.
This channel also showcases major motorcycle and boat races that take place in the United States and throughout the world. Examples of these events include the British Motocross Championship, the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship, and the Lucas Oil Drag Boat Racing Series. Since 2019, MAVTV has broadcast 11 of the 12 annual ARCA races.
Finally, there are a number of reality shows and other types of content that you can watch on a variety of platforms associated with MAVTV. About half of the major streaming services offer the channel.
MAVTV Channels
In addition to MAVTV, you can also watch your favorite racing content on MAVTV Plus and MAVTV Select.
MAVTV Plus is a streaming service that offers a mixture of live and on-demand content that you can access from almost any device that gets an internet connection. It requires a subscription. You should be able to use this service with most of the major streaming devices.
MAVTV Select is a free channel that you can find on PlutoTV and other services. As the name suggests, you get a sample of the network’s content offerings, and the channel makes money through a traditional advertising model.

MAVTV Plus
If you only want MAVTV and don’t care about other channels, you should sign-up for MAVTV Plus. It doesn’t provide the live feed of the MAVTV channel but it includes all the same content — including live races.
And MAVTV Plus doesn’t cost much — especially given all that it provides. It’s just $6.99/mo. There is also an annual plan for $99.99/mo, which is more expensive. We are looking into why this is.
