What is NFHS Network?

You’ve likely heard of sports streaming services. Well, NFHS Network is a high school sports streaming service. In order to offer sports, pep rallies, news, and other high school events, your area high school needs to be part of the NFHS Network. Of course, with over 19,500 high schools participating from all of the states in the US, there’s a good chance they are already broadcasting.

Dozens of sporting events are included, but NFHS Network offers more of the high school experience. You’ll also be able to see some performing arts events, pep rallies, debate and drama competitions, choir performances, JROTC events, band performances, spirit events, and more. You’ll even be able to see wheelchair sporting events if your school has wheelchair sports teams. So, basically, if it’s a big event in high school, you can watch it live with NFHS Network.

How Does NFHS Network Work?

NFHS Network is similar to a lot of streaming services. You’ll sign up, stream your favorite events, and you can cancel when you want. Here are the basics of using the NFHS Network:

  1. Start by choosing a NFHS Network package
  2. Prices start at $10.99 per month or $70 for the year
  3. No trial is available, so you pay from the minute you sign up
  4. There are no contracts, so you’re free to cancel when you want.
  5. Stream high school events on your TV using Chromecast or Mirror through Apple TV. You can also use computers or mobile devices.
  6. Watch all of your favorite events from your son’s football game to volleyball, debate, or the neighboring schools band concert!

While the content is very specific to certain households (not everyone will need or want NFHS Network), it works like other streaming services. You wouldn’t cancel Hulu or Netflix to pick up NFHS Network, but you might add it to your lineup, if you have kids, family, or friends in high school activities.

NFHS Network Review: What Devices can I Use?

One place where NFHS Network is a little limited is when it comes to available streaming devices. Your main options include:

  • Mirror through Apple TV
  • Chromecast
  • iOS and Android devices
  • Computers/Laptops

On the plus side, it’s likely that you already have at least one of these devices to start streaming. Of course, if you’re a fan of Amazon Fire TV or Roku, you wouldn’t be able to use those to stream NFHS Network, at this time.

NFHS Network Prices

NFHS Network allows you to choose between a monthly plan and an annual plan. You’ll pay for whatever selection you make at the time of signup. Unfortunately, there’s not a free trial available for NFHS Network.

If you opt for the monthly service, you’ll pay $10.99 per month. The annual plan is available for $69.99 per year.

Even though a free trial isn’t available, you will be able to cancel your service whenever you want. You can cancel your account by going to the NFHS Network website and managing your account. It should be as easy as clicking cancel. The only difference is if you’ve signed up directly through Apple TV or iTunes. In that case, you’d need to cancel your subscription through your Apple account.
