FS2 Without Cable: All the Ways To Watch Fox Sports 2 Live

I love Fox Sports 2 (FS2) for finding new sports or catching up on college games, especially as it’s an easy channel to watch online without cable. I’ll explain how to stream FS2 live with Fubo, DIRECTV STREAM, Sling TV, or Hulu + Live TV.

In a hurry? There are several ways to get FS2 without cable — these are the ones I recommend:

  • Fubo: The best streaming service for international sports also provides 150+ well-selected channels. Fubo allows you to try out its service with a free trial.
  • DIRECTV STREAM: Get a great channel lineup with the best selection of RSNs in the industry. A 5-day free trial is now available for DIRECTV STREAM.
  • Sling TV: This low-cost service allows you to select just the channel lineup you want. Save 50% on Sling TV now.

If you can’t watch your favorite sports because of your location, get ExpressVPN to access the content you deserve.

Why You Need a VPN Today

However, first you need a VPN to unblock US streaming services from . Our favourite is ExpressVPN. It’s definitely not the cheapest option at $4.99/month, but it just works – and across all your devices.

They have servers in 25+ US cities/states and 105 countries, which unblock access to premium streaming platforms available only in the US, as well as free “on demand” TV services worldwide.

You’ll have access to local platforms as if you were in the country, meaning you can watch BBC iPlayer as if you were in the UK, CBC Gem as if you were in Canada, plus hundreds more worldwide.

IMPORTANT: Once you’ve installed your VPN and connected to a US server, you’ll still need to subscribe separately to access premium streaming services.

How to Watch FS2 Live Without Cable

FS2 is available on most major streaming services. Once you’ve signed up for one, download its free app onto your streaming device, log in, and select FS2 to start watching the channel live.

Fubo (Pro plan), Sling TV (Blue + Sports Extra), DIRECTV STREAM (Premier plan), and Hulu + Live TV all work with common streaming devices so you can watch on Android and iOS smartphones, smart TVs (eg Google, Samsung, LG), Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, and web browsers. Some, like Hulu, work on gaming systems too (eg, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch).

DIRECTV STREAM and Sling TV don’t offer FS2 in their base plans, which makes sense considering FS2 is often an overflow channel to Fox and FS1. But upgrading to their higher packages seems expensive if all you predominantly want is FS2 — I suggest going with one of the cheaper service options or looking at all the channels each plan comes with to decide whether the upgrade is worth it.

Every service provides an unlimited cloud-based DVR (Sling’s is restricted to 50 hours) and allows streaming on multiple screens at once, at home or away.

Other Ways To Stream FS2

Fox’s official platforms provide alternative ways to watch FS2, which I’ve found useful when I’ve wanted to watch sports on the go:

  • FoxSports.com: You can watch the FS2 live stream on the Fox Sports website. You have to log in with a TV provider, meaning you’ll still need to sign up for a streaming service — but this can be a quick and convenient way to watch.
  • Fox Sports App: Fox’s app offers a live stream of Fox Sports content, including FS2, with the bonus of adding stats, instant scores, and alerts. As with the website, you still need to sign in with a streaming subscription. But if you have one, the app is worth checking out for the extras and ease of watching while traveling.

The No. 3 Cyclones (7-1) resume their rivalry with the Hawkeyes (7-2). Iowa leads this installment of the Cy-Hawk Series 48-29 after Iowa State prevailed 90-65 in Ames last season. The Cyclones haven't been ranked this high since the 1956-57 season.

What Sports Does FS2 Broadcast?

Fox Sports is a division of the Fox Corporation and includes Fox Sports 1 (FS1), Fox Sports 2 (FS2), and the Fox Sports Radio Network. FS2 often features college events, women’s football, horse racing, soccer, and auto racing.

What’s the difference between FS1 and FS2?
FS1 airs the most popular live sporting events, while FS2 tends to air lesser known or overflow events. For example, FS1 might be broadcasting a FIFA World Cup qualifying match while FS2 is showing a delayed PBA event. FS2 also rebroadcasts repeats of shows first aired on FS1. This is why streaming services that offer FS2 will pair it with FS1.

Types of auto racing often shown on FS2 include:

  • Motorcycle
  • Drag (NHRA)
  • NASCAR (eg, Xfinity Series qualifying)

FS2 is home to many soccer events; in the past I’ve seen:

  • CONCACAF Gold Cup
  • Canadian Premier League
  • FIFA U-20 World Cup
  • UEFA Nations League
  • Major League
  • Copa América

Some of the less common sports I’ve found on FS2 are:

  • Horse racing (eg, Dubai World Cup and Belmont Stakes)
  • Boxing
  • Surfing
  • Major League Rugby
  • Roller Derby
  • Wrestling
  • Off-road racing
  • Extreme sports

Our Choice

Sports fans wanting FS2 have plenty of streaming options to choose from, but I’d suggest signing up for a free trial of Fubo. It’s one of the cheapest options available and, while you could go with Hulu + Live TV to save a couple of bucks per month, Fubo has a wider range of sports channels and includes Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) which, if you’re looking for FS2, I imagine you’d want as well.
