A seemingly unstoppable NFL team, everyone wants to watch the Chiefs — as a fan, I know how to watch every Kansas City Chiefs game online. You’ll need CBS, Fox, NBC, and ESPN, plus some specialized streaming services, and you can get all of these without cable.

In a hurry? If you want to start watching the Chiefs right now, I’ve found these streaming services have the best success:

Which Channels Do I Need to Watch the Kansas City Chiefs?

Of the Chiefs’ 17 games during the 2024-25 regular season, 13 will air on local channels CBS, Fox, and NBC. These are available with live TV streaming services, but you may be able to watch them with a digital antenna too, depending on your location.

Two additional games will air on ESPN, which can’t be picked up with an antenna (but is available on streaming services). The NFL Network will show all three of the Chief’s preseason games.

A final two games are exclusive to specialty streaming services — one on Amazon Prime Video (Black Friday) and one on Netflix (Christmas Day).

How to Watch the Kansas City Chiefs Game Without Cable

Since most games are on over-the-air channels, local fans should be able to watch every game by signing up for a cable-replacement TV streaming service. I recommended Fubo, DIRECTV, and Hulu + Live TV for sports fans, because of their range of channels and coverage of Regional Sports Networks (RSNs).

After signing up, you install the app for your streaming service and log in. I’ve never had a problem finding a device to use — there are apps for seemingly every streaming device today. Universally supported are Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku streaming sticks; Android and iOS mobile devices; Android TV and Samsung smart TVs; and web browsers if you’re on a computer. Lots of smart TVs and gaming systems are also supported.

Once you’re logged in, you just select the channel airing the game.

Since the Chiefs play on so many channels, you can watch at least one game on almost any streaming service. I’ve had success with all of the following, though the first five are full cable replacement services that provide all the channels needed for every Chiefs game (except the two games exclusive to Prime Video and Netflix). These services also provide cloud DVRs to record games and let you stream on multiple devices simultaneously.

Note that none of these services have contracts, so you can sign up for the streaming-only services (Prime Video, Netflix) for one month and cancel.

About the Kansas City Chiefs

From Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC West division, the Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the NFL recently — winning the last two league championships, Super Bowl LVII and Super Bowl LVIII.

Although the experienced Chiefs played poorly during the latter half-plus of the 2023 regular season as a 5-5 finish turned a stellar 6-1 mark into a good 11-6 record, the team knew how to turn it on when it mattered most. Four straight playoff wins, and Kansas City had secured back-to-back Super Bowl wins and victories in three of the past five editions of that game.

Why the Chiefs Keep Winning

Most will point to two contributors as the biggest factors in all of those successes. Head coach Andy Reid has led KC throughout this impressive run and has been a head coach since he took on that role in Philadelphia in 1999 while quarterback Patrick Mahomes has taken the league by storm since he was drafted 10th overall by the Chiefs in 2017 and took the KC starting job a year later.

Now the question is whether KC can become the first team to win three straight Super Bowls and the initial one since the Packers claimed the NFL’s last pre-Super Bowl title in 1965 and followed that with wins in Super Bowls I and II to win three straight overall titles.

Chiefs Roster Changes

On the defensive side, Kansas City will have to overcome the losses of linebacker Willie Gay Jr and cornerback L’Jarius Sneed to do that. However, powerful defensive tackle Chris Jones will be back wreaking havoc on offenses around the league, and linebacker Drue Tranquill will also bring his prolific skills to the Chiefs for another season.

Meanwhile, one of KC’s biggest offseason signings was that of wide receiver Marquise Brown while tight end Travis Kelce, coming back for his 12th season in Kansas City, should also be a considerable weapon in the offensive arsenal. The line is expected to be solid as well in creating holes for teammates and protecting Mahomes.

Kicker Harrison Butker should be one of the league’s best once again, but punter Matt Araiza has not played in the league since being drafted out of San Diego State in 2021.
