As someone who follows NBA and NHL action in Southern California, you need to tune into FanDuel Sports SoCal (formerly Bally Sports SoCal) to catch locally produced broadcasts of Los Angeles Clippers and Anaheim Ducks games. I’ve got all the details below.
In a hurry? FanDuel Sports SoCall is available from these services:
- Fubo: FanDuel Sports SoCal and 150+ other channels come with the base plan for $94.98/month after a free trial.
- DIRECTV STREAM: Get 125+ channels including FanDuel Sports SoCal for $114.99/month after a 5-day free trial.
Streaming FanDuel Sports SoCal
Although FanDuel Sports SoCal used to be available through a number of streaming services, that is no longer the case. But there are three good options.
Direct-to-Consumer FanDuel Sports SoCal
Note: the FanDuel Sports Network streaming service has secured rights for the games of all covered NBA and NHL teams. But it has not secured rights to most MLB team games. Make sure that your teams will be available before signing up.
Since 2021, you can get FanDuel Sports SoCal with the FanDuel Sports Network streaming service. It costs $19.99/month or $189.99/year. If you add a second channel (eg, FanDuel Sports West), the total price is $25.99/month.

Streaming Extras
Pretty much all modern streaming devices are supported by Fubo, DIRECTV STREAM, and FanDuel Sports Network. This includes smart TVs from Samsung and and those using the Android TV standard. You can also use the standard “stick” devices: Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku. And you can stream on mobile devices running iOS and Android. You can also use the Xbox gaming system and some other devices with Fubo and FanDuel.
Fubo allows you to stream on up to 10 devices at once. DIRECTV STREAM allows unlimited devices (limited by your internet connection). FanDuel Sports Network is fairly limited with just two devices.
Fubo and DIRECTV STREAM offer unlimited cloud DVR storage. FanDuel has no DVR but you can use an external one with it.
Alternatives to FanDuel Sports SoCal
The good news is that if you are looking to watch Anaheim Ducks or Los Angeles Clippers games, you can see a selection of their contests with an antenna. This includes games broadcast on network affiliates, such as any contests that the Clippers or Ducks play on ABC. Additionally, the Ducks are shown on KCOP 13.
Of course, if you are situated outside of the blackout areas for those teams, you could watch out-of-market broadcasts of the Clippers through NBA League Pass ($14.99/month) and Ducks matches through ESPN+ ($10.99/month).
Meanwhile, other streaming services, such as Hulu + Live TV ($82.99/month), YouTube TV ($82.99/month), and Sling TV ($40.00/month), will grant you access to nationally telecast games. The first three of them also provide access to matchups that are being shown on KCOP 13.
What Is FanDuel Sports SoCal?
FanDuel Sports SoCal, like FanDuel Sports West, was originally named Prime Ticket and launched under that moniker in 1985. In the years since, it has also been known as Fox Sports West 2, Fox Sports Net West 2, and FSN West 2.
After Disney acquired Fox, the US DoJ demanded that it sell its Fox Sports RSNs due to competition concerns since Disney also owned the ESPN channels. The channel was one of 21 sold to the newly created Diamond Sports Group, which was formed by Sinclair Broadcast Group and Entertainment Studios.
In 2024, the channel’s name was changed to FanDuel Sports SoCal.
Where Is FanDuel Sports SoCal Available?
FanDuel Sports SoCal’s broadcast area stretches a considerable distance from the LA metropolitan area. It not only covers all of Southern California but also southern Nevada including the Las Vegas metropolitan area and Hawaii.
However, do take into account that some of the teams carried by this RSN are blacked out in some areas. For example, the Ducks are blacked out in Las Vegas as the Vegas Golden Knights are the local team there.
Also note that those in San Diego do not get FanDuel Sports SoCal.
Which Sports Teams Does FanDuel Sports SoCal Broadcast?
FanDuel Sports SoCal’s broadcast schedule is busy during the winter months as the channel’s primary focuses are the Los Angeles Clippers and Anaheim Ducks.
Various sports programming fills the rest of this network’s slate, including sports events and shows related to poker, surfing, beach volleyball, boxing, and college sports. Note that its college sports coverage rarely features LA-area schools.
Fans of the Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams will not find any of their games on any RSNs. They are instead shown on CBS, Fox, NBC, ABC, ESPN, and NFL Network.
Subchannels
If you are looking to watch tonight’s Los Angeles Clippers or Anaheim Ducks contest and it is not being shown on FanDuel Sports SoCal or a national outlet such as TNT or ESPN, check FanDuel Sports West and KCOP 13. Those are where spillover contests are sent in the cases of multiple games being played simultaneously.
Games shown on KCOP 13 are also available through FanDuelSportsNetwork.com and the FanDuel Sports app assuming you have a DIRECTV STREAM subscription.
FanDuel Sports SoCal Programming
The focus of FanDuel Sports SoCal programming is its series of live games with the Clippers and Ducks. These include pregame and postgame shows featuring news, analysis, interviews, and such.
FanDuel Sports SoCal also provides general sports-oriented content like other of the network’s channels. Some are specific to the network like Live on the Line. But most are externally licensed content. And outside the NBA and NHL seasons, it broadcasts a lot of paid programming (infomercials).
Our Choice
Simply put, if you are in FanDuel Sports SoCal’s broadcast area and want to watch the Los Angeles Clippers or Anaheim Ducks you need to gain access.
My top choice is Fubo, which provides a ton of channels for an affordable price. Fubo allows you to try out its service with a free trial.
