As a soccer fan in the US, I know how important TUDN is. And while it isn’t an easy channel to get, I’m aware of a couple of options.
In a hurry? TUDN is not a widely available channel. But both our top two sports service picks do provide it:
- FuboTV: Offers 110+ channels including TUDN and all its substations for $79.99/month. You also get beIN Sports and much more. Fubo allows you to try out its service with a free trial.
- DIRECTV STREAM: You can get the base TUDN channel for as little as $74.99/mo depending on exactly what you want. A 5-day free trial is now available for DIRECTV STREAM.
Table Of Contents
TUDN is one of the premier destinations for US-based soccer fans. In fact, this Spanish-language channel has a significant number of viewers who do not understand the language but prefer the passion shown by TUDN’s commentators or who simply dislike the announcers who are commenting on English-language outlets.
This channel owns the broadcasting rights for matches from a significant number of competitions. Most notably, this includes Liga MX, MLS, Copa America, Gold Cup, Euros, Bundesliga, and Nations Leagues and Champions Leagues from UEFA and CONCACAF.
This dual focus on Europe and the Americas allows it to show matches throughout the day, which was especially noteworthy during the summer of 2021 when Euro 2020 and Copa America both took place from mid-June to mid-July.
How can you secure access to TUDN? The best ways for cord cutters to do so are through FuboTV ($79.99/month or $32.99/month for the Latino Quarterly plan) or DIRECTV STREAM ($74.99/mo). Both options also offer a tremendous selection of other cable TV channels that show soccer and other sports as well as an impressive range of general-interest channels.
What Is TUDN?
Most notably, TUDN, Televisa Univision Deportes Network, is a sister station of Univision, UniMás, and Galavisión, all channels that broadcast a number of soccer competitions. Univision and UniMás are over-the-air (OTA) networks that are available in several major US markets. The difference between those three outlets and TUDN is that they focus more so on general programming while TUDN’s focus is narrowly on sports.
TUDN was launched in 2012 as UDN, Univision Deportes Network. It kept that name until adopting its current moniker in 2019, after Univision merged with Televisa, a mass media company that is based in Mexico. Just prior to then, in 2018, the channel started broadcasting UEFA-related competitions, such as the Champions League.
When its name was changed to TUDN, its Mexican affiliate also changed its name to that. The latter channel had previously been known as TDN, Televisa Deportes Network. The Mexican TUDN channel is more varied in its sports programming with it also showing baseball, basketball, and rugby games.
Which Soccer Competitions Does TUDN Show?
The bread and butter of TUDN is its broadcasting of Liga MX matches. Although that league has different broadcasting rights for each of its clubs’ home matches, TUDN owns the rights to most of them. It also owns the rights to all away games played at those team’s stadiums.
In addition, TUDN broadcasts matchups from the second-tier Liga de Expansion MX, Copa MX, and Liga MX Femenil.
TUDN’s focus as far as US-based leagues go is MLS. It regularly shows games from that competition. These are generally simulcasts of matches that are also being broadcast on Univision and UniMás.
Meanwhile, some of its highest ratings are achieved when it shows European teams taking part in the UEFA Champions League. It also owns the rights to showcase UEFA Europa League contests as well as CONCACAF Champions League matchups.
As for national teams, its selection is considerable. These include many of the friendlies played by Mexican (“El Tri”) and American (“The Yanks”) national teams as well as competitions such as Copa America, Gold Cup, Euros, and the Nations Leagues organized by both CONCACAF and UEFA. An impressive selection of World Cup qualifiers played in North America and Europe is broadcast on TUDN as well.
TUDN used to also own rights to show World Cup contests, but those can now be viewed on Telemundo Deportes.
Subchannels
Overflow content is available through TUDNxtra, a streaming service that allows you to watch up to 11 channels of content not available on the channel itself. This is great for situations such as you wanting to watch live coverage of a different Champions League match than the one that is being shown at that time on TUDN.
TUDN Radio
TUDN radio affiliates from across the country carry live coverage of soccer and other sporting events.
Streaming TUDN
FuboTV and DIRECTV STREAM are your best options for securing streaming access to TUDN.
FuboTV
TUDN and all of its TUDNxtra channels are available through FuboTV’s base plan ($79.99/month). By securing access to that, you will also enjoy Univision, UniMás, and Galavisión as well as Telemundo, Universo, and beIN Sports en Español. Meanwhile, sports-focused English-language offerings that are available as well include CBS Sports Network, ESPN, ESPN2, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), Fox Sports 2 (FS2), and beIN Sports. (Fubo provides the full-slate of beIN Sports channels.)
Those who prefer sports events accompanied by Spanish-language commentary should consider FuboTV’s International Sports Plus ($6.99/mo), which offers additional channels such as Fox Deportes, ESPN Deportes, GOL TV, Zona Futbol, and TyC Sports.
Another option is the standalone Latino Quarterly plan ($32.99/month paid three months at a time). It provides access to TUDN as well as Univision, UniMás, Galavisión, ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, GOL TV, TyC Sports, beIN Sports, and beIN Sports en Español. All World Cup qualifying matches played by CONMEBOL countries are included with this plan as well.
All FuboTV plans come with unlimited cloud DVR and streaming on up to 10 devices at once. See our FuboTV review for details.
DIRECTV STREAM
In order to get access to TUDN through a DIRECTV STREAM (formerly AT&T TV) comprehensive plan, you will need to get at least its Ultimate plan ($129.99/month). It includes 130+ total channels including 8 channels of Starz Encore. It also includes a broad selection of sports channels including CBS Sports Network, ESPN, ESPNU, ACC Network, SEC Network, MLB Network, NBA TV, NHL Network, and many others.
However, you may prefer to get DIRECTV STREAM’s Entertainment plan ($86.99/month) and combine that with its Deportes add-on ($5/mo) or its Español add-on ($15/mo). The former includes TUDN, ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, and TyC Sports while the latter includes those four channels in addition to Univision, Discovery Channel en Español, Cinelatino, and Estrella TV.
Also keep in mind that you will need to get at least its Choice plan ($114.99/month), the one between Entertainment and Ultimate, if you want access to regional sports networks (RSNs). A number of them broadcast local games of MLS teams.
DIRECTV STREAM comes with unlimited DVR storage and streaming on unlimited devices at once. See our DIRECTV STREAM review for more information.

Wrapping Up
TUDN is one of the best US-based options for watching soccer while you should, of course, note that it focuses on Spanish-language offerings. With that said, keep in mind that it does also offer English commentary for some of its matches, such as those that it owns the English-language rights to as well.
If you are a cord cutter who would like to secure access to this channel, FuboTV and DIRECTV STREAM are really your only options.
