The Cleveland Guardians will not be broadcast by FanDuel Sports Network during the 2025 season. MLB itself will be distributing its games. The details have not been released but most likely, you will need to sign up with MLB.TV. In order to get the nationally broadcast games as well, I recommend getting MLB.TV through Fubo.
I love watching Major League Baseball and I’ll use my expertise to show you how to watch all the Cleveland Guardians games without cable. In fact, it’s a whole new world; streaming services are the only way to catch all the action.
In a hurry? How you watch Guardians games depends on where you are located. The following are excellent options:
- Fubo: Get 150+ including the FanDuel Sports Network channels in your area. Fubo allows you to try out its service with a free trial.
- DIRECTV STREAM: This service also provides the FanDuel Sports Network channels but with better coverage of the MLB playoffs. A 5-day free trial is now available for DIRECTV STREAM.
- MLB.TV: Watch all out-of-market Guardians games with this service.
Cleveland Guardians TV Channels
Like most MLB teams, the Guardians appear primarily on an RSN to local fans with only a handful of games broadcast nationally.
Multiple networks including ESPN, Fox, FS1, and MLB Network will broadcast Major League Baseball games to a national audience. Games may also stream exclusively on Apple TV+ or ESPN+.
Cleveland Guardians games that are not broadcast to a national audience will usually appear on FanDuel Sports Great Lakes. This channel is available to viewers throughout most of Ohio. It is also available in western portions of New York and Pennsylvania (but not Pittsburgh).
Streaming Cleveland Guardians Games
If you want to watch the Guardians outside of the nationally broadcast games, there are three choices depending on whether you are a hometown fan or are located far away:
Service | Price | Channels | DVR (hrs) | Screens |
$79.99 | 150+ | unlimited | 10
$86.99 | 90+ | unlimited | unlimited
$29.99 | N/A | N/A‡ | 4 |
The first two services are for local fans and the last is for others. Note that games on Apple TV+ are exclusive and will not stream anywhere else. (Games streaming on ESPN+ are not exclusive and stream on the usual local and national outlets.)
Games that are broadcast on Fox, ABC, or NBC may be accessible to viewers who have an antenna.
Streaming Features
As the table indicates, you can stream on multiple simultaneous devices. Additionally, the two live TV streaming services come with cloud DVRs with unlimited storage. You don’t need a DVR with MLB.TV since it offers all the functionality of a DVR in other ways.
These services provide apps for most modern devices. These include Amazon Fire TV, Android Mobile, Android TV smart TVs, Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, Roku, Samsung TVs, and web browsers. Additionally, LG smart TVs and Xbox gaming systems are supported by Fubo and MLB.TV.
About the Guardians
Established in 1894 as the Grand Rapids Rustlers, the Cleveland Guardians are one of the charter members of the American League (AL). The team plays its home games at Progressive Field and is managed by Stephen Vogt.
In 1900, the team moved to Cleveland and changed its name to the Lake Shores, Bluebirds, Napoleons, and (unofficially) Bronchos. It was known as the Indians from 1915 to 2021 when it adopted its most recent nickname.
Cleveland has won two World Series titles, six AL titles, and 12 division titles since 1920. Bob Feller, Jim Thome, and Luke Easter were all members of the team.
The Cleveland Guardians finished the 2024 season with a record of 92–69 at the top of the AL Central. In the playoffs, they beat the Detroit Tigers in 5 games but fell to the New York Yankees in 5.
Our Choice
I tried out a bunch of streaming options, and Fubo turned out to be the best for watching Cleveland Guardians games. It’s got FanDuel Sports Great Lakes, so local fans can catch all the action. The picture is super clear with no annoying lag, and the app is really easy to use. One of my favorite parts is the cloud DVR – perfect for recording games and watching them later when it works for you. It’s also super flexible, working on everything from your TV to your phone. If you’re outside the area, you can add MLB.TV to Fubo to cover all the bases.
FAQs
Are there any ways to watch Guardian games for free?
Any games that are broadcast on ABC, Fox, or NBC will likely be accessible to anyone who has an antenna. Therefore, it may be possible to watch these games without the need to pay for a cable, satellite, or streaming service plan. MLB.TV does offer a Free Game of the Day, which will likely feature the Cleveland Guardians sometimes.

Our research shows that VPNs are illegal in only a handful of authoritarian countries (e.g., North Korea, Belarus, Turkmenistan) plus Iraq.
