Where to Watch Alabama Football Games

The SEC (Southeastern Conference) no longer has a television deal with CBS, so Crimson Tide games will not be found there. Walt Disney Television continues to air Alabama games. The arrangement results in conference games and home, non-conference match-ups being shown on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and SEC Network.

Fox Sports is also broadcasting SEC games so Fox will air at least one Crimson Tide game this season.

On rare occasions, the Crimson Tide may be shown on a different channel. This is only possible for non-conference away or neutral-site games, as all bowl games with SEC ties are shown on ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2.

How to Stream Alabama Crimson Tide Football Games

Due to the considerable national interest Alabama garners, several of the team’s games are shown on network television – usually ESPN and its related channels (including ABC), but sometimes Fox.

This means you don’t even need a streaming service subscription to see the team play several times a season: you can just set up a digital antenna and watch on local ABC and Fox stations for free.

You’ll most likely want a streaming service though, as all NCAA football playoff games – the most important ones that Bama plays – are broadcast on ESPN.

Streaming Features

All the live TV streaming services provide a DVR in their base plans. Sling TV is limited to 50 hours of storage but the rest all offer unlimited storage.

Pretty much all streaming devices today are supported by the services above. These devices are universally supported: Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, and Roku stick devices; Android and iOS (iPhone/iPad) mobile devices; and Android TV and Samsung smart TVs. Widely (but not universally) supported are smart TVs from LG and Vizio and gaming consoles such as Xbox One and PlayStation.

Sling TV only allows you to stream on one device at a time. All the others offer multiple devices.

The University of Alabama plays its home games at historic Bryant-Denny Stadium and is led by first-year head coach Kalen DeBoer. DeBoer was the head coach of the Washington Huskies in 2023 and was the head coach at Fresno State before that. Nick Sheridan is the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach while Kane Wommack will serve as defensive coordinator.

The Crimson Tide finished the 2024 season 9-3 and made an appearance in the ReliaQuest Bowl against Michigan.

The Crimson Tide have played in a bowl game every season since the 2004 campaign. And high expectations are in place for the Tide this season: an SEC championship and a national title.

The program has also produced a number of NFL players such as Joe Namath, Derrick Thomas and Ken Stabler, who are all in the NFL Hall of Fame. There are also dozens of players from Alabama in the NFL today including Houston Texans defensive end Will Andersen, Detroit Lions safety Brian Branch, and Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper.
