About the Clemson Tigers

The Tigers compete in 17 varsity sports — generally in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). The football team has played at the Memorial Stadium on the Clemson campus since the early 1940s.

Dabo Swinney entered his 15th year as head coach of the Clemson Tigers for the 2024 season. Chad Morris was the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach while Brett Venables was the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach. In 2023, the Tigers finished 9-4, including a win in the Gator Bowl over Kentucky. Although the team finished strong, the fanbase was starting to get a tad restless with Swinney, who displayed a reluctance to use the transfer portal to aid roster building.

The Tigers didn’t get a chance to ease into the 2024 season, opening and losing against Georgia on Aug 31st. Some dubbed this game an early elimination game, as it relates to the College Football Playoff. Although there has been some leeway for teams with one loss in recent years, a win against Georgia could have been what the Tigers needed to put themselves back into the national title conversation.

The last time Clemson won a national title was in 2018, when they defeated Alabama in the College Football Playoff (CFP) final. The Tigers have also won national titles in 1981 and 2016. In addition, Clemson added to its 13 ACC championships with its 2024 win.

Our Choice

I suggest Hulu + Live TV for Clemson Tiger fans: it’s the cheapest streaming service that carries every channel needed to watch every Tigers game, including TNT for the postseason.

If you’re a sports fan interested in other teams or sports though, I recommend considering Fubo, as I’ve found it provides the strongest range of sports channels — including wide coverage of Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) — still at one of the lowest prices (and it has all the channels needed for all of Clemson’s regular season games). Fubo allows you to try out its service with a free trial.
