How Can I Watch the Denver Broncos Game Today?

The Broncos lost to the Seattle Seahawks 26-20 in the first game of the Bo Nix era. The rookie quarterback completed 26 of 42 passes, but he only accumulated 138 passing yards on the day. Nix also had 35 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Denver’s defense had a hard time stopping the run as Kenneth Walker III averaged 5.2 yards per carry while Geno Smith averaged seven yards a rush. In what might be seen as a bright spot, seventh-round rookie receiver Devaughn Vele had eight catches in his first game.

As Week 2 approaches, the Denver Broncos strive to enhance their performance and surpass their current 0-1 record.

Out-of-Market Denver Broncos Games

Broncos fans outside the Colorado area might struggle to find games on their local affiliate channels. We explain every alternative option NFL fans have when away from home in our guide to watching NFL Out-of-Market Football Games.

The usual method to stream out-of-market games is with NFL Sunday Ticket. Since this can only be streamed through YouTube or YouTube TV, it’s one of the most expensive options for watching NFL games.

A more economical way is to use a VPN with a cheaper streaming service like Fubo. Our top pick for this is ExpressVPN.

About the Denver Broncos

Head coach Sean Payton returns for his second season leading the Broncos and will likely rely on a rookie quarterback to return the team to respectability. Last season, Denver finished 8-9, but it was clear the Russell Wilson experiment was a failure. The team cut him in the offseason, despite this resulting in a dead cap charge of $85 million. The charge will be spread over two seasons, as Wilson was designated a post-June 1 cut.

The Broncos drafted Bo Nix 12th overall in the 2024 draft as Wilson’s replacement. Zach Wilson and Jarett Stidham may also be in contention to start if Nix isn’t ready to go by the first week of the season. It will be interesting to see what Payton cooks up on offense, considering the team traded Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland and Courtland Sutton is in a contract dispute which he may hold out through training camp.

On defense, Patrick Surtain is probably the best player defensive coordinator Vance Joseph has to work with. The team let safety Justin Simmons go for salary cap reasons, and the rest of the defense consists primarily of younger depth players and recent draft picks.

Entering the 2024 season, the Broncos have won three Super Bowl titles, their most recent coming in 2015, which was Peyton Manning’s final season. They also won titles in 1997 and 1998, which were John Elway’s last two seasons in the NFL.

Denver has reached the playoffs 22 times in franchise history, but the Broncos have failed to make the playoffs since defeating Carolina in Super Bowl 50. Their biggest rivals are the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders, which play in the same division as the Broncos.

In addition to Elway and Manning, Floyd Little is considered one of the franchise’s greatest players.
