Kansas City Chiefs Week 3

The two-time-defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs got their 2024 campaign off to a positive start, defeating Baltimore, 27-20, in an AFC championship game rematch. Unsurprisingly, KC’s still at the top of the NFL Power Rankings heading into another home game, this one against the Bengals.

Wide receiver Marquise Brown, a major offseason signing who has a dislocated shoulder and did not play in that season opener, may be available against Cincinnati. Head coach Andy Reid said that “he’s getting close.”

Among the receivers who did play against the Ravens, rookie Xavier Worthy’s performance was especially noteworthy; he had 47 receiving yards, 21 rushing yards, and a touchdown in both manners.

The Kansas City Chiefs have a record of 2-0 as they head into Week 3.

Out-of-Market Kansas City Chiefs Games

Kansas City Chiefs fans will be able to watch all games. But that isn’t as true for fans who live out-of-market. Given how strong a team the Chiefs are, however, their games will mostly be shown everywhere.

For those games that are not, we have an NFL Out-of-Market Football Game Guide. You will find all your options there. But the main ones are to sign up for NFL Sunday Ticket (through YouTube and YouTube TV) or use a VPN for a general streaming service. We recommend ExpressVPN combined with Fubo.

About the Kansas City Chiefs

From Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC West division, the Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the NFL recently — winning the last two league championships, Super Bowl LVII and Super Bowl LVIII.

Although the experienced Chiefs played poorly during the latter half-plus of the 2023 regular season as a 5-5 finish turned a stellar 6-1 mark into a good 11-6 record, the team knew how to turn it on when it mattered most. Four straight playoff wins, and Kansas City had secured back-to-back Super Bowl wins and victories in three of the past five editions of that game.

Why the Chiefs Keep Winning

Most will point to two contributors as the biggest factors in all of those successes. Head coach Andy Reid has led KC throughout this impressive run and has been a head coach since he took on that role in Philadelphia in 1999 while quarterback Patrick Mahomes has taken the league by storm since he was drafted 10th overall by the Chiefs in 2017 and took the KC starting job a year later.

Now the question is whether KC can become the first team to win three straight Super Bowls and the initial one since the Packers claimed the NFL’s last pre-Super Bowl title in 1965 and followed that with wins in Super Bowls I and II to win three straight overall titles.

Chiefs Roster Changes

On the defensive side, Kansas City will have to overcome the losses of linebacker Willie Gay Jr and cornerback L’Jarius Sneed to do that. However, powerful defensive tackle Chris Jones will be back wreaking havoc on offenses around the league, and linebacker Drue Tranquill will also bring his prolific skills to the Chiefs for another season.

Meanwhile, one of KC’s biggest offseason signings was that of wide receiver Marquise Brown while tight end Travis Kelce, coming back for his 12th season in Kansas City, should also be a considerable weapon in the offensive arsenal. The line is expected to be solid as well in creating holes for teammates and protecting Mahomes.

Kicker Harrison Butker should be one of the league’s best once again, but punter Matt Araiza has not played in the league since being drafted out of San Diego State in 2021.
