Los Angeles Rams Week 3

The Rams were missing two starting tackles and lost Puka Nacua to a knee injury in the first half of their game against Detroit. However, they still managed to get the contest to overtime thanks to a strong effort from Cooper Kupp. Unfortunately, his efforts weren’t enough as the Rams lost 26-20 on Sunday night at Ford Field.

Matthew Stafford is still searching for his first win at Ford Field since the Lions traded him to the Rams a few seasons ago. Los Angeles will travel to Arizona this week to take on a Cardinals team that will also be looking for revenge after losing a heartbreaker in Buffalo.

As Week 3 rolls around, the Los Angeles Rams find themselves with a record of 0-2.

How to Watch Los Angeles Rams Games Out-of-Market

It’s easy to watch Rams games if you live within the team’s broadcast area, as all Sunday afternoon games will be on local network affiliates (usually Fox though sometimes CBS). But out-of-market fans should see our guide to watching NFL Out-of-Market Football Games to learn all their options.

While the NFL’s out-of-market answer is Sunday Ticket, this can only be purchased through YouTube and YouTube TV. A less expensive option is to stream out-of-market NFL games with a VPN. We recommend ExpressVPN for this.

About the Los Angeles Rams

The Rams were a surprise playoff team last season, finishing sixth in the NFC, which was good enough for a trip to Detroit for the wild card round. Although the Rams would lose that game, they have lots to look forward to this season.

On offense, head coach Sean McVay has a number of weapons at his disposal, including veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford and breakout star receiver Puka Nacua. Nacua caught 105 passes for more than 1,400 yards, both NFL rookie records. He will return to pair with Cooper Kupp, who has also been an elite pass catcher for long stretches of his career. Running back Kyren Williams had a breakout performance last season as well and established himself as one of the top rushers in the game.

On defense, the team will look to overcome the loss of Aaron Donald to retirement. While it will be hard to replace him, the team has some talent in the secondary to stay on receivers until the pass rush gets home. John Johnson III and Kamren Curl have had success elsewhere in their careers and will look to do so in Los Angeles as well.

Prior to this season, the Rams won two Super Bowl titles, the most recent in 2021 when they beat the Bengals at SoFi Stadium. The Rams were only the second team to play a Super Bowl at home and the second to win at home. The other victory came in 1999, during the Greatest Show on Turf era that included Kurt Warner, Torry Holt, and Marshall Faulk.

Currently, the Rams share their stadium with the Los Angeles Chargers, although the teams don’t share much of a rivalry. This is because they play in different conferences, meaning they typically only play each other once every four years. Their current rivals include the 49ers, Cardinals, and Seahawks.
