Other Options to Stream Super Bowl LVIII

There are other options for streaming the Super Bowl:

  • Paramount+: Paramount+ is the new version of CBS All Access, so it’s no surprise that it will let you stream Super Bowl LVIII live. Plans start at $7.99/month. Our Paramount+ review has more information.
  • YouTube TV: Offers a very similar service to Hulu + Live TV, including all the Super Bowl channels in its base lineup. See our YouTube TV review for more.

Super Bowl LVIII for Free: Set up a Digital Antenna

CBS has affiliates all over the nation that will be broadcasting the game over the air (OTA). This means – assuming you are reasonably near a tower (and almost everyone in the US is) – you can watch the Super Bowl for free.

Since TV went digital, antennas have come a long way from providing the low-resolution, static-filled screens they used to. You can now pick up crystal-clear, high-definition signals with modern antennas that will look great on your big-screen TV.

If you want to go with an antenna, we recommend signing up with Sling TV. If you pay for three months of service, they’ll give you an indoor HD antenna and AirTV 2 for just $49.00 (normally $149.94). Alternatively, you can get the same antenna with the AirTV Anywhere for $99.00 (normally $244.98), which comes with its own DVR.

With either of these, you’ll be able to receive all your OTA channels in the same guide that shows your streaming channels. It’s really the way to go.

Super Bowl LVIII Analysis

As always, the Super Bowl pits the AFC Championship winner against the NFC Championship winner. Over the year, the two conferences have prevailed almost equally but this is largely due to a 13-year NFC run from Super Bowl XIX. The AFC has won 6 of the last 10 encounters. But no one thinks this is causal.

Here are the results of the 2024 Conference Championships:

  • AFC Championship Game: Kansas City Chiefs (17) at Baltimore Ravens (10)
  • NFC Championship Game: Detroit Lions (31) at San Francisco 49ers (34)

Super Bowl LVIII features the return of two of the top 4 teams from last year. The 49ers lost in the NFC Championship and the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs were originally a 3-point underdog in this game. But the line has changed a lot over the last week. Many see the game as effectively even. But the consensus is currently that the 49ers will win by 2 points.

Some people are using AI to predict the game, and this has given many Kansas City fans hope, since the consensus there seems to be a close game with the Chiefs winning.

The game also has Over/Under of 47.5 points. All of this means that the oddsmakers (and AIs) expect this game to feature a lot of offense and to be pretty close. In other words, it should be a good game.

Looking at the teams, it’s hard to disagree. The Chiefs have an excellent passing offense. They struggle running the ball, however. This could be to their advantage. The 49ers have a great run defense but haven’t been covering the pass that well. So we expect a lot of passing from the Chiefs.

On the other side, the 49ers have great passing and running offenses. The Chiefs have a great passing defense but struggle against the run. This would indicate a running game from the 49ers but with their many passing weapons like Brock Purdy, Deeboo Samuel, George Kittle, and Christian McCaffrey, expect to see a lot of that too.
