Where to Watch Arsenal

First, it’s important to note that broadcasting and streaming rights differ from country to country. However, that’s not what’s likely to trip you up. That each competition has its own set of rights holders may.

For example, watching Arsenal play a Premier League game will usually result in you putting on a different broadcaster’s stream than if you were to view an Arsenal Champions League match.

Watching Arsenal in the USA

If you want to watch the Gunners play Premier League games in the USA, you’ll need to get access to the relevant NBC entities as that mass media conglomerate owns both the English- and Spanish-language rights to this competition.

Coverage of Arsenal’s Champions League matches is carried by CBS/Paramount in English and TelevisaUnivision in Spanish, so head to one of those options to take in the club’s UCL action.

Streaming Arsenal Online

Peacock Premium ($7.99/month) will provide you with full access of Premier League matches. ESPN+ ($10.99/month) is the place for FA Cup. And Paramount+ ($7.99/month) is the home of UEFA Champions League.

You will also need a live TV streaming service to watch some matches:

All of these services allow you to live stream on most devices including Amazon Fire TV, Android mobile, Android TV-based smart TVs, Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, Roku, Samsung smart TVs, and web browsers.

Watching Arsenal Elsewhere

Arsenal is popular everywhere, but especially in Canada and the UK.

Canada

If you’re instead an Arsenal supporter who’s based north of the border, then you need to garner access to Fubo to watch the club’s Premier League fixtures. Meanwhile, fellow streaming service DAZN showcases Champions League matches in Canada.

UK

Fans who are actually in London or elsewhere in the UK will often need to secure access to Sky Sports to see their favorite Premier League club play. Other broadcasters for Arsenal’s league matches in the UK include TNT Sports and Amazon Prime although, as Brits well know, all games played at 3 p.m. on a Saturday are blacked out. However, things are simplified for Arsenal fans in another way as the latter two broadcasters also show Champions League fixtures.

Arsenal’s Competitions

Arsenal takes part in multiple competitions every year.

Premier League

Since 1919, the Gunners have been a participant in England’s top league, which has been the Premier League (English Premier League, EPL) since its formation in 1992. That will likely continue for the foreseeable future.

UEFA Champions League

When Arsenal FC has a solid league campaign, it qualifies for the following season’s Champions League. UCL play has comprised and will comprise part of the club’s fixture list in 2023-24 and 2024-25.

Should the Gunners have a not-as-good-but-still-solid season, they will instead take part in the next Europa League or Conference League, which are the second- and third-tier competitions that UEFA operates. The broadcasting rights are usually the same for those as they are for the Champions League.

It’s possible that Arsenal will play in the UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, or FIFA Intercontinental Cup in future years, but that will not be the case in 2024-25.

FA Cup and EFL Cup

Arsenal also takes part in additional non-league domestic competitions. Included are the FA Cup and EFL Cup, the former being operated by the FA, which also oversees England’s national team, the second by the EFL, which runs the EFL Championship and Leagues One and Two, the three tiers immediately below the Premier League in the English pyramid.

The FA Community Shield is a possible game for Arsenal in future years but not in 2024-25.

Depending on the country that the fan is in, these FA and EFL competitions will usually have different streaming providers than is the case for the Premier League and Champions League.

Arsenal FC Overview

Arsenal first played a football match on Dec. 11, 1886; then-named Royal Arsenal defeated the Eastern Wanderers, 6-0. Ever since entering the Second Division seven years later, which it did while named Woolwich Arsenal, it has only been relegated once. The Gunners got promoted to England’s top tier in 1904, was relegated back down in 1913, and pulled themselves back up, this time to stay, in 1915.

Trophies

The club has won 13 top-tier league titles, the first one in 1930-31, the most recent celebration occurring in 2003-04. Arsenal came close to winning the Premier League in 2023-24 but finished two points shy of doing so.

Fourteen FA Cups and two EFL Cups have been claimed.

However, no Champions League trophies have ever been brought home. The team’s lone European trophies were the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup (1969-70) and UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup (1993-94). The closest that the Gunners came to Champions League glory was 2005-06, when they fell in the final.

2023-24 Arsenal Season

In addition to finishing second in the Premier League last season, Arsenal reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League and won the FA Community Shield. Apparently, not much focus was placed on domestic cup competitions as it exited the FA Cup in the third round and the EFL Cup in the fourth round.

Despite being trophyless in 2023-24, it was one of Arsenal’s best seasons in years as it last finished better than second in the Premier League in 2003-04 and had most recently played in the Champions League in 2016-17.

Upcoming 2024-25 Arsenal Season

Unsurprisingly, aspirations are high at the Emirates Stadium for 2024-25 as the players, coaching staff, and supporters are all desiring another push forward, more success, this season.

Manager Mikel Arteta will have a powerful team to put out on the pitch every match. Helping strengthen the side will be newcomer Riccardo Calafiori, who’s expected to help take Arsenal’s already tough defense to another level.

Declan Rice is back for his second year of providing strength to Arsenal football club’s midfield, and Bukayo Saka is expected to continue to showcase his solid play on the right side. In fact, Saka was the team’s top goal scorer in 2023-24 with 20 tallies.

Those wanting to stream Arsenal’s rivalry games with Tottenham Hotspur in 2024-25 should note Sept. 15 and Jan. 14 as those are the dates that they will meet in Premier League play, the latter one possibly being moved a day or so earlier or later. The rivals may also meet in other competitions.

Our Choice

Peacock Premium turned out to be the best pick for Arsenal fans after testing a bunch of streaming options. The streams are solid and don’t lag, which means you’re always in on the action, and the simple, easy-to-use layout makes finding what you need hassle-free. It’s got a solid channel lineup that gives great bang for your buck, especially if you’re watching your budget.
