West Ham matches will (depending on what competition they are in) be found on Peacock Premium ($7.99/month), ESPN+ ($10.99/month), and Paramount+ ($7.99/month).

London’s quite a busy soccer city, with seven Premier League teams there in 2024-25 and numerous other London sides throughout the pyramid. One of those in the top tier is West Ham United, and this proud club’s been playing in London Stadium, where the 2012 Olympics were held, since 2016.

West Ham’s also coming off of three successive European appearances, which included a Europa Conference League trophy in 2022-23. That said, the coming season will not feature European action for the club although the hopes are that this will only be a one-year hiatus.

Are you a Hammers supporter? Or perhaps you’re simply intrigued and want to see how they’ll match up with England’s best in 2024-25 as they attempt to push towards the Premier League’s elite. If yes to either, you’re going to want to know how to watch West Ham without cable. We’ll show you.

Where to Watch West Ham United

West Ham United’s matches are carried by a variety of streaming services, depending on where you’re located and what competition that contest is a part of. In 2024-25, you’ll likely be focused on the club’s Premier League games since there will be no European contests to watch, which will help simplify this some.

Watching in the USA

NBC should be your focus if you’re based in the USA as all Premier League matches, not just those played by West Ham, are broadcast through its channels and streaming services. Conversely, NBC plays no role in the broadcasting of cup ties. ESPN+ is responsible for showing West Ham’s FA Cup matches in the US while CBS streams the club’s EFL Cup contests here.

Streaming West Ham Online

Premier League matches that aren’t on live TV stream on Peacock Premium ($7.99/month). FA Cup matches appear on ESPN+ ($10.99/month). And UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches are streamed on Paramount+ ($7.99/month). But note that this year, West Ham is not in either of the UEFA leagues.

You will also need a live TV streaming service to watch the most popular matches:

All of these services come with cloud DVR storage and streaming on multiple devices at once. They all support Amazon Fire TV, Android mobile, Android TV-based smart TVs, Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, Roku, Samsung smart TVs, and web browsers. Some support other smart TVs (eg, LG, Vizio) and gaming systems (eg, Xbox One, PlayStation).

Watching Elsewhere

The relevant broadcasters change from country to country.

If you live in or are traveling to Canada, make sure to get Fubo, that nation’s Premier League broadcaster. Meanwhile, numerous countries have the same entity showing these games, such as Sky Sport in Austria, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland and Viaplay in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and Poland. Are you going to Turkey or North Africa? Then, beIN Sports will likely be what you need.

Those actually in London can catch the Hammers on Sky Sports, TNT Sports, and Amazon Prime.

West Ham United’s Competitions

The Irons participate in a number of competitions. The minimum number is three, which is what will be the case in the club’s 2024-25 campaign.

Premier League

West Ham’s focus this season will be the team’s 38 Premier League matches as it plays the country’s 19 other best clubs home and away.

If the Hammers finish in the bottom three spots in the final league table, they’ll get relegated to the Championship, which has happened in the past, most recently in 2011. However, the club then got itself promoted right back up the next year and has stayed in the Premier League ever since.

FA and EFL Cups

A secondary focus for West Ham will be the country’s primary domestic cups, the FA and EFL Cups. The former is the more historic and prestigious of the two.

Note that the Premier League and FA Cup winners from one season open the following campaign with the FA Community Shield although West Ham hasn’t played in this fixture since 1980.

Other Competitions

Of course, a primary focal point for all clubs is the UEFA Champions League, both participating in it if that’s the case that season and qualifying for the next edition. However, that’s not something that West Ham has ever achieved.

That said, qualifying for the Europa or Conference League is a very realistic goal for this club, and it has participated in one or the other the past three seasons as well as at other times prior to then.

West Ham United

Although West Ham United may not have all of the trophies and other achievements that some others in the London area and elsewhere in England do, it has had some special moments to treasure. Also of note is that even though it’s been relegated from the country’s top tier at times, it’s one of only eight English clubs to have never been further relegated to the third level.

This club’s roots date to its founding in 1895. It was named Thames Ironworks from then until it was reformed as West Ham United five years later and has kept that latter name ever since. Soon after its reformation, in 1904, West Ham started playing at the historic Boleyn Ground, doing so until 2016 and its move into London Stadium.

Trophies

West Ham has won two European trophies of note, the Europa Conference League in 2022-23, defeating Fiorentina, 2-1, in that competition’s final, and the 1964-65 European Cup Winners’ Cup. That final in 1965 was played just 15 miles from the club’s home ground, at Wembley Stadium.

As far as domestic trophies go, the Hammers have won the FA Cup on three occasions, most recently its 1979-80 edition, and the EFL Cup twice, the most recent of those coming in 1980-81.

Although the club has never claimed England’s top league, in 1985-86, it did place third in the First Division, which was the predecessor of the Premier League.

2023-24 West Ham Season

Last season, the Irons finished in the top half of the Premier League table, in ninth, and advanced to the quarterfinals of both the Europa League and the EFL Cup. The team’s stay in the FA Cup, however, was short, lasting just two matches after Bristol City took third round proceedings to a replay before knocking the Hammers out of the competition.

2024-25 West Ham Season

The club has a new leader heading into its 2024-25 season as manager Julen Lopetegui was signed just four days after the last campaign ended, giving him an entire summer to acclimate himself to the role.

The biggest change that’s expected to result from his arrival is an attacking style. However, he may actually have more of an impact on the team’s defensive play as his past squads had posted solid goals-allowed figures. This is especially significant as, a year ago, West Ham finished fourth from the bottom of the Premier League in goals allowed, only ahead of the three relegated sides.

On the pitch, one player who many will have their eyes on is attacking midfielder Mohammed Kudus. Although he’s done well up to this point in his career, there’s hope that he has even more in his tank, that he can take another step up.

Amongst the numerous newcomers expected to contribute in 2024-25 is center-back Jean-Clair Todibo, who had been impressive with Ligue 1 side Nice, where he was since 2021.
