What Is Outside TV?

Outside TV was founded in 1994 as the Resort Sports Network, and as the name suggests, the channel was intended to create content that could be used for marketing purposes. It remained a relatively obscure network until 2013 when it signed a licensing deal that allowed the channel to be distributed on multiple national cable platforms. Eventually, it was rebranded as Outside TV.

One of the interesting features about Outside TV is that its website is dedicated to amateur content creators. Individuals can create their own accounts to upload videos, pictures, or text that can be shared with others who use the site.

Content that you watch on the Outside TV channel itself consists of a mix of original programming and shows that have been licensed from other networks. On the channel’s website, shows are labeled based on what type of activities they deal with.

For instance, you can search for shows that primarily deal with activities that take place in the sky, on a bike, or during the winter months when there is snow on the ground.

If you are the type who wants to make the most of every weekend, you are encouraged to watch Beat Mondays. This series provides you with a variety of ideas as to how you can get the most from the 48 to 72 hours that you have to yourself after putting in a long week at work.

Those who have ever wondered what it would be like to go fishing and skiing in the same day will want to watch Epic Quest. The show takes place in the Alaskan wilderness about 100 miles from the nearest signs of civilization.

The program Over the Horizon is one that you’ll need to watch if you enjoy fishing. Hosted by Ellis Emmet, the show takes viewers to obscure islands and other locations that you are unlikely to have heard of prior to watching the show.

In addition to these original series, this channel broadcasts a few live events each year. These events generally include mountain bike races, fishing tournaments, and skiing competitions featuring some of the best in the world at these disciplines.
