All About the St Louis Cardinals

The St Louis Cardinals are one of baseball’s most storied franchises, having claimed 11 World Series titles, the most of any National League club. They only trail the New York Yankees‘ 27 in all of Major League Baseball.

It is also one of MLB’s oldest as it first played in the American Association in 1882 before quickly dominating that league, securing four successive pennants from 1885 to 88. However, it would not be until 1926 for the club to win another pennant — its first in the NL. That was also St Louis’ initial World Series title. The Cardinals defeated the Yankees in seven games that October.

The franchise’s other World Series titles were won in 1931, 1934, 1942, 1944, 1946, 1964, 1967, 1982, 2006, and 2011.

The Cardinals have had plenty of success since 2000, recording a winning record every season except for one (2007) and making the playoffs 16 times over the 23 seasons since. NL pennants were won in 2004, 2006, 2011, and 2013, bringing that total for the club to 19.

The 2021 Cardinals secured the NL’s second wild card spot with a 90-72 mark before falling to the 106-56 Los Angeles Dodgers in the Wild Card Game by a 3-1 score.

In 2022, the Cardinals finished first in their division rankings with a 93-69 winning record to make it to the postseason. They were swept 2-0 by the Philadelphia Phillies in the Wild Card Series.

The Cardinals’ 2023 season was poor as they finished last in the NL Central division standings. They managed a 71-91 record eliminating them from playoff contention.

0 replies on “St Louis Cardinals Games Without Cable: Different and Cheaper Ways to Watch in 2024”

Bally Sports Midwest is selfish! I am using Hulu Live and I can’t use Bally Sports because of livestreaming. Bally Sports encouraged me to use cable. It costs more than live streaming. What’s the difference NFL are using ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox Sports ESPN. I can’t use MLB Baseball becuase its blackout due to livestreaming……….. it’s selfish! Very disappointed. Any recommendation for me to watch STL Cardinals – how?

I understand your frustration. The way that MLB, NBA, and NHL are broadcast is crazy! And if Bally Sports is the RSN for your favorite team, you have only one options: DIRECTV STREAM. At $89.99/mo, it’s a good deal given everything else you get. Just the same: $89.99/mo is a lot of money and out of the question for many. If you live outside the area, MLB.TV is a great option.

On the other hand, if the Cardinals make the playoffs (and they are looking pretty good at the moment), those games will all be on national channels.
