MLB is divided into two parts: the National League and the American League. Teams from each league mostly play other teams in the same league. At the end of the season, the top team in each league face off in the World Series.

Fans of the National League won’t want to miss to the NLCS. Unlike the series leading to it, it is a full best-of-four 7-game series. All the games will air live through Fox Sports (Fox or FS1).

2022 National League Championship Series Schedule

Six NL teams made it into the playoffs:

The National League Championship Series runs from Tuesday, October 18th through Wednesday, October 26th (if there are seven games).

Here’s the schedule at this time:

  • Wed Oct 19 : Philadelphia Phillies at San Diego Padres (Fox or FS1)
  • Fri Oct 21 : San Diego Padres (2) at Philadelphia Phillies (4) (FS1)

Stream the NLCS Without Cable

Fox and FS1 are available from most live TV streaming services. You can take your pick — many offer free trials.

But if you are also interested in the American League Championship Series, you will also want to get TBS, since all those games will air there. As a result, we recommend getting DIRECTV STREAM, Hulu + Live, and Sling TV.

DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM

DIRECTV STREAM is probably the best streaming service for MLB because it has by far the best selection of RSNs, which are the only way to watch the vast majority of local games through the regular season. It also provides all the playoff games.

You can watch all the playoff games with the Entertainment package with 75+ channels for $74.99/mo. But if you want the RSNs, you need to go up to the Choice plan with 100+ channels for $99.99/mo.

All plans come with unlimited DVR storage and unlimited simultaneous streaming devices. See our DIRECTV STREAM review for more information.
