What Channels Show NC State Wolfpack Games?

Before we can analyze which streaming services may be best for NC State football fans, it is essential to learn the channels that will broadcast those games.

As of 2024, the ACC broadcast contracts state that NC State home and away conference games and home non-conference contests will be shown on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, the ACC Network (ACCN), the ACC Network Extra (ACCNX), and The CW. All of those except for The CW are in the ESPN Family of Networks.

Two of NC State’s first three games of 2024 will be on the ACC Network while a neutral-site contest with Tennessee in Charlotte, NC, is slated for an ABC broadcast. In addition, the team’s only non-Saturday game of the regular season after week one, a Thursday matchup with Georgia Tech on November 21, will be shown on ESPN.

The ACC Championship Game, which will also be played in Charlotte, will be broadcast by either ABC or ESPN on December 7.

Streaming NC State Wolfpack Games

For the NC State games that will be shown on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and the ACCN, it is relatively easy to find a streaming service that will provide access to these channels. However, things get mildly complicated when games are to be shown on ACCNX, and even more challenging when they are scheduled to air on The CW.

Some of these streaming services do not specifically offer ACCNX, but you can log into the ESPN app with those credentials and stream the games there as long as you already have access to ACCN.

In addition, The CW is offered by several streaming services. However, most of them only provide it to those in select markets, although those areas tend to cover most of the country.

Fubo

Fubo features ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, the ACCN (in select states), and The CW with indirect access to the ACCNX in its base plan, so that might be the best option for Wolfpack fans.

ACCN is available in Fubo’s base plan for subscribers in Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Virginia.

If you reside in any other state, you can choose an add-on such as Fubo Extra for $7.99/mo to get ACCN. Fubo Extra also comes with 50+ other channels including SEC Network, ESPNews, NHL Network, and MLB Network.

Fubo’s base plan, Pro, includes 150+ channels and costs $79.99/mo. It comes with unlimited cloud DVR storage and simultaneous streaming on up to 10 devices (on home Wi-Fi).

NC State Wolfpack Football

NC State football teams have been playing games since 1892 and have claimed 11 conference championships, seven of those in the ACC, although none since 1979. Will 2024 be a title-winning season? Probably not, but this team is expected to have a solid campaign and be good enough to be in that picture, especially if players on both sides of the ball impress more than expected.

The Wolfpack are coming off a 9-4 season in which the team finished 21st in both major polls. They beat all of their unranked opponents and lost to all of the ones that were ranked at the time of their matchup with one exception, a 13-10 setback to unranked Louisville in September. (The Cardinals finished the season as a top-20 program.)

Personnel

The NC State offense is expected to be in the hands of quarterback Grayson McCall, a transfer from Coastal Carolina.

One wide receiver who he will surely be looking towards a lot is KC Concepcion, who was named the 2023 ACC Rookie of the Year. Meanwhile, running back Jordan Waters, a transfer from Duke who had a ranking of 4 in the ACC in rushing touchdowns a year ago, should expect to receive regular handoffs from McCall.

Much of the defensive side of the ball will be filled by new faces while one of the top players who has returned is cornerback Aydan White, who did not allow a touchdown reception in 2022 or 2023. Another of the expected top returners is defensive tackle Brandon Cleveland.

Punting is expected to be a strength for the Wolfpack as Caden Noonkester comes back for his junior campaign. His career punt average of 42.7 entering 2024 is the third-highest in NC State history.

The Wolfpack are led by head coach Dave Doeren who has been at the helm since 2013.

What Is the NC State Wolfpack Football Schedule for the 2024 Season?

The 2024 NC State team is going to need to start its campaign fast if it is going to make some noise as a week two matchup with Tennessee will tell fans a lot about the program’s status while playing at Clemson in the ACC opener two weeks later will set the tone for the conference campaign.

However, neither of the 2023 ACC Championship Game participants, Florida State and Louisville, are on the slate. Miami is also not on it, for that matter. So, a win over Clemson could propel the Wolfpack to an impressive ACC record this season and possibly a berth in that title game.

FAQs

Why are NC State’s teams called the Wolfpack?

The Wolfpack moniker was adopted because it was a “snappy, aggressive name” that would have a positive effect on the university as a whole, as per an anonymous letter to the “Alumni News” that was received in early 1921. That occurred as the institution was searching for a name, and it was adopted that fall.

Can I watch NC State Wolfpack live on Fubo?

Yes, you can watch NC State Wolfpack games on Fubo through the channels ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, and ESPNU. The channels are a part of Fubo’s base Pro plan costing $79.99/mo. The plan also includes ACC Network (ACCN) in select states such as North Carolina, Georgia, and others. If you live in a state where ACCN is not included, you can choose the Fubo Extra add-on for $7.99/mo to get the channel.
