Bengals at Ravens
Although the Bengals and Ravens have mediocre records so far this season — they are both 2-2 — this matchup of AFC North foes is a pivotal one for both since they are in a three-way tie atop their division. (The Cleveland Browns have also gone 2-2 so far this campaign.)
However, the Bengals and Ravens have had very different roads to their 2-2 marks.
Cincinnati, looking to win the division for the second straight season, opened with three-point losses to the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys. But they responded to those setbacks with impressive wins over the New York Jets and Miami Dolphins, both by multiple scores.
Conversely, Baltimore began its campaign with a convincing 24-9 win over the New York Jets before falling to the Miami Dolphins. They then went on to defeat the New England Patriots before losing to the Buffalo Bills. The last setback was particularly frustrating as the Ravens had led, 3-20, before ultimately falling, 23-20.
In Sunday’s contest, the Ravens are favored by a field goal — between 3.0 and 3.5 points depending on the sportsbook with a moneyline of roughly Cincinnati +150, Baltimore -180.
Pretty much everyone’s power rankings see these teams as equally as good. So this is likely to be closely fought and could go either way.
The game’s total (over-under) is 48.0 to 48.5. So we expect a lot of offensive active with a predicted final score of 26-22, Baltimore.
