Here are the details of this game:

  • Who: New York Giants (6-1) at Seattle Seahawks (4-3)
  • When: Sunday, October 30th (EDT)
  • Where: Fox.

In a Giants-Seahawks game that was played in the Northwest in 2005, the noisy 12s helped force the visitors to make 11 false starts, which boosted Seattle to a 24-21 overtime win that proved pivotal to its NFC championship season. The atmosphere may not be quite that intense on Sunday, but it should be loud.

The Giants enter this game with the second-best record in the NFL at 6-1, trailing the Eagles (6-0) by half a game in both the NFC East and in the NFL as a whole. However, the team might be tired and distracted as it is coming off of a road game in Jacksonville, FL, defeating the Jaguars there, 23-17, and will head into their bye week following Sunday’s contest.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks have used two straight wins, both by double-digit margins, to propel itself to a winning mark at 4-3 and sole possession of first place in the NFC West. This game is squeezed between road contests as it follows a 37-23 win over the Chargers in Los Angeles and precedes road trips to Phoenix and Munich, Germany, before Seattle gets to enjoy its bye week.
