Steelers at Dolphins
The Pittsburgh Steelers enter this primetime matchup with a 2-4 mark but only sit a game off of the pace in the AFC North as Baltimore and Cincinnati jointly lead that division with 3-3 records. Conversely, the Dolphins are 3-3 but two games behind the AFC East-leading Bills.
Pittsburgh opened its season with a 23-20 overtime victory in Cincinnati and is coming off a 20-18 home win over the Buccaneers, resulting in Steel City hope that this latter showing will jumpstart a winning streak.
In between those victories was a four-game losing streak, which included a resounding 38-3 loss to the Bills. Looking ahead, most believe that Mitch Trubisky was thought to start at quarterback against the Dolphins, but it looks like Kenny Pickett (who suffered a concussion) may be back.
After Miami started its campaign with three straight wins, the team’s first 3-0 start in four years, it has gone into a tailspin and brings a three-game losing streak into this contest.
The most eye-opening setback of that stretch was a 40-17 loss to the Jets while all three losses were by at least eight points. However, Tua Tagovailoa will return as Miami’s starting quarterback after leaving the first of those losses after suffering a concussion.
The Dolphins are expected to win this game by about a touchdown but no one will be surprised if the Steelers win. The total is roughly 44 implying a final score of 19-25, Miami.
