Azerbaijan GP is going down at Baku (the capital of Azerbaijan) on Baku City Circuit. It is the fourth round of races during the 2023 Formula One season. The first race to ever be held on the circuit in 2016 was European Grand Prix. The next year 2017, Azerbaijan was held in the same circuit and has been held at the same venue since.
In 2020 the race was postponed and then cancelled later due to the pandemic. So the race has been held every year except in 2020. Mercedes team won the race in 2018 and 2019 while Red Bull Racing won in 2017, 2021 and 2022. Last year Max Verstappen won followed by Sergio Perez and George Russell coming in second and third respectively.

2023 Azerbaijan GP Race
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix witnessed an eventful race with several position changes and retirements. Charles Leclerc led from pole position initially, but Max Verstappen used DRS on lap four to pass him heading into the first corner. Sergio Pérez executed the same move to claim second place on lap six.
Meanwhile, Pierre Gasly switched to the hard compound on lap six as Verstappen went into the pit lane ten laps later. A yellow flag and safety car was raised on lap 13 after Nyck de Vries’ retirement. During the safety car period, Pérez captured the lead of the race after switching onto a fresh set of hard compound tires.
The rest of the race saw Pérez, Verstappen, and Leclerc claim the top three positions. George Russell claimed the fastest lap and secured one point.
