Live TV Streaming Services
You can subscribe to a live TV streaming service to garner access to the UEFA Champions League final. But you will generally do so because you are looking to fully replace a cable subscription.
- Fubo (formerly FuboTV): This is a streaming service built from the ground up by soccer fans for soccer fans. It features over 100 channels including over 35 that are dedicated to sports — especially international sports — especially soccer. These include ESPN, Fox Sports, TUDN, and beIN Sports. It comes with 1000 hours of cloud DVR and streaming on up to 10 devices at once for $74.99/mo. Our Fubo review provides all the details.
- Hulu + Live TV: If your focus is more general, this is a great option. It offers the outstanding Hulu on-demand library as well as 85+ live TV channels — and get Disney+ and ESPN+. You get unlimited cloud DVR with 9 months of storage and simultaneous streaming on two devices for $76.99/mo. For more information, see our Hulu + Live TV review.
- DIRECTV STREAM: This service is more expensive at $119.99/mo for the Ultimate plan. But it includes the best support for RSNs in the industry. So if you are also a big fan of your local MLB, NBA, WNBA, NHL, or MLS team, you should look into this. See our DIRECTV STREAM review for more information.
- YouTube TV: This Hulu-style streaming service gives you 85+ live TV channels along with unlimited DVR storage for $72.99/mo. See our YouTube TV review for more.
Paramount+ ($4.99/mo) is the easiest way for you to watch the Champions League final. You can also utilize it to watch every Champions League match from the play-off round, the step just before the group stage, through to the final and seeing the remaining teams on the precipice of lifting the trophy.
For more information, see our Paramount+ review.
Univision NOW ($10.99/mo) is another option. As long as Univision or UniMas broadcasts the match, which is expected, it will be available to watch through this over-the-top streaming service. This is also true for any other Champions League matches broadcast on either of those channels.
Of course, if the match is on CBS, you can always simply watch it with an antenna and television. The same goes for Univision and UniMas, although those stations are not as widely available.
Another option to consider is attending a watch party, of which there will be numerous taking place across the country. This is a great option if you want to be surrounded by others who are as interested in this match as you are and, in some cases, be amongst devoted supporters of one or both clubs.

What Is the Champions League Final?
The Champions League final is the culmination of an 80-team competition involving clubs from 54 countries playing over an 11-month span. It gets reduced to the two playing in this match and the one lifting the trophy at the end of it.
History of the Champions League Final
The first Champions League final, then called the European Cup final, was played on Jun 13th, 1956, when Real Madrid outlasted Reims, 4-3, in front of 38,239 at Paris’ historic Parc des Princes. Just 16 clubs took part in this competition, which involved some teams getting in via invites. This feature continued for four more years before the clubs started to all be selected on merit.
Real Madrid was the early powerhouse of this competition, claiming its first five editions before being stunned by Barcelona, 4-3 on aggregate, in the 1960-61 first round. The Catalan side ultimately advanced to the final, where they fell short of fellow Iberian club, Benfica, 3-2, in Bern, Switzerland.
The initial club from the British Isles to lift this trophy was Celtic, who did so after defeating Inter Milan, 2-1, in the 1967 final, played in Lisbon, Portugal. Manchester United followed suit a year later, cruising past Benfica, 3-1, while playing in its home country. London’s Wembley Stadium hosted that match.
Real Madrid has also been a recent dynasty, claiming four Champions League finals in a five-year span, winning every one between 2014-18 with the exception of 2015, which was claimed by Barcelona. The winners that followed this run were Liverpool (2019), Bayern Munich (2020), and Chelsea (2021).
What Is the Format of the Champions League Final?
Except for the preliminary round semifinals and final at the very start of the competition and this match at the end, every step of the Champions League involves clubs playing their opponents twice — once at home and once away. This includes the round of 16, quarter-finals, and semi-finals.
However, the final has always been played as a single match at a predetermined site. Sometimes, a team will play the final in its home stadium – Bayern Munich in 2012 is a recent example – but the match is still treated as a neutral site as far as every other aspect of the game is concerned, including ticket allotment.
The locations of the coming final are as follows:
- 2024: London, UK
- 2025: Munich, Germany.
There has been some talk of holding the 2026 edition in the United States but this has sparked much controversy given that this would be the first time the event was ever held outside Europe.
At least one club from every UEFA country with the exception of Liechtenstein enters this competition. (Liechtenstein is not included because it does not have its own league; all of its clubs play in Switzerland’s league setup.) The majority of these teams are eliminated, however, by the time the group stage starts in September when the competition’s giant clubs join.
2024 Champions League Final Schedule
- Quarterfinals: Apr 9-10, Apr 16-17
- Semifinals: Apr 30-May 1, May 7-8
- Final: Jun 1
Cord cutters looking to watch the UEFA Champions League final can do so with either a Paramount+ subscription for English-language coverage or a Univision NOW subscription for Spanish-language commentary.
But serious soccer fans should probably go with Fubo, which provides the best selection of international matches available.
What channel will air the UEFA Champions League Final?
CBS will broadcast the 2024 UEFA Champions League final. In the United States, Paramount is the home for the entire league although matches are not usually shown on CBS itself. Outside the US, the match will air various places including Stan Sport (Australia) and BT Sport (UK).
When is the UEFA Champions League final played?

For example, the 2023 Champions League final was on Jun 10th while the 2022 match was played May 28th. The 2024 final will take place June 1st.
What is the cheapest way to stream the Champions League final?
The cheapest way to stream the Champions League final is by paying for a month of Paramount Plus for $4.99. Or, if you time it right, for free with a trial. With that said, you may want to consider utilizing that service throughout the year as it carries every Champions League match from the play-off round. An annual subscription costs $49.99.
You can also watch over-the-air in many locations with an HD antenna via CBS.
