The World Cup is the biggest sporting event in the world, and Qatar 2022 is no exception. However, for fans in Chile, this year’s tournament will not be as exciting as it has been in the past. The Chile National Team, the world’s no. 49-ranked international squad, will be sitting at home while no. 60 Ecuador squeezed into the tournament. Chile also lost its court case where it insisted one of Ecuador’s players was born in Columbia and therefore ineligible for qualifying matches.

TV Channels to Watch Qatar 2022 in Chile

There are two primary sources in Chile that own the broadcasting rights to this year’s Cup. The first is the third oldest television network in Chile, Chilevision (CHV). It is one of the leading sports entertainment platforms in the country, and you can catch every match live as well as pre and post-game coverage leading up to each contest. CHV is an open television channel in Chile, so it is free and easy to find almost anywhere. Chilevision can even be found on national public television if you do not have cable or internet.

The other major television station carrying the Cup is Canal 13, another open Chilean television channel that is free and available to anyone. Canal 13 was the official transmitter of the 1962 Cup that was held in Chile.
