The FIFA Women’s World Cup always draws a huge television audience in the UK, and the ratings for the 2023 tournament in Oceania are likely to be the best ever. That is because England has a very good team that could well go all the way.

Watching the Games on TV

The 2023 Women’s World Cup tournament will be covered by both the BBC and ITV. The two broadcasters will each cover 24 group games live and show highlights of the contests they did not air. When the knockout stages begin, ITV will have first choice when round of 16 and quarterfinal contests are scheduled, and the BBC will choose which semifinal it wishes to air. Both broadcasters will cover the August 20th final live.

UK TV Channels

  • BBC: It will show 20 group stage games, all of the BBC’s knockout games and air a daily highlight show.
  • ITV: The main ITV channel will air all of the independent broadcasters coverage, which includes 24 group stage games, knockout games and the final. ITV will also show highlights each night of the tournament.
