Chelsea Football Club is one of the biggest names in world soccer with supporters spread across the planet. This has been the case ever since it won its second top-division title in 2004-05 as it has been amongst the top teams in the Premier League table in most seasons since that campaign. Its famous players have included Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba, who were both playing at Stamford Bridge during that rise to prominence.

The club’s most known player today for many US-based fans is American Christian Pulisic. Regardless of where you are based, it is highly likely that you can watch Chelsea matches on a regular basis. The only thing that you need to do is learn which outlets showcase the club’s games where you are and access those.

Elsewhere

Here are some examples of where you can view Chelsea matches from a couple of other countries.

Those in Canada should take advantage of Fubo’s offerings to watch the Blues play their Premier League matches. Meanwhile, domestic cup games are offered through Sportsnet (FA Cup) and DAZN (EFL Cup). In fact, DAZN is also where you want to go in order to watch Chelsea take part in European competitions.

Are you in London? In that case or if you are elsewhere in England, check out Sky Sports, BT Sports, Prime Video, and ITV. Note that BT Sport shows both Premier League and Champions League games.

Premier League

The Premier League is the world’s most popular league, and even the clubs at the bottom of its table are amongst the sport’s richest. Its teams also do well in the UEFA Champions League. In fact, from 2018-22, the 10 UCL finalists included six English sides while the 2019 and 2021 finals were all-Premier League ties.

This league has been in existence since 1992. In that time, Man Utd has claimed 13 titles, more than double the number that the club with the second-highest total has accumulated; Man City has six.

Its seasons are nine months long, and its schedules are balanced, which is the norm for this sport but not the norm for American sports leagues. As a result, its 20 teams play 38 matches apiece.

Other Competitions

All Premier League teams take part in the FA Cup and EFL Cup. Some, depending on the quality of their previous campaign, also participate in competitions such as the FA Community Shield, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup.

Chelsea FC

Chelsea has been a part of the English footballing landscape since 1905, and it has been playing home matches at 40,341-seat Stamford Bridge since its founding. In fact, its home stadium predates Chelsea by 28 years, after opening in 1877. The team was founded to give the venue a home club.

For its entire first century, Chelsea had only won two top-flight championships. The first was claimed in 1954-55, somewhat of a surprise as the team had finished between 10th and 20th place in nearly all of the several seasons that preceded and followed it. The second was won in its centennial season of 2004-05. That one was more expected as the team had already solidified itself as a power by that point.

Four more Premier League titles have been won since then, in 2005-06, 2009-10, 2014-15, and 2016-17.

Unsurprisingly, Chelsea also has claimed a number of other competitions. This collection includes eight FA Cups, five EFL Cups, four FA Community Shields, two UEFA Champions Leagues, two UEFA Europa Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups, and one FIFA Club World Cup. That latter one was secured in 2021.

However, despite those accolades, the team has not been playing well in 2022-23, sitting in the middle of the Premier League table and getting knocked out of its domestic cups after only one match apiece. The Blues did advance to the UEFA Champions League knockout phase, however.

Graham Potter is the current head coach of Chelsea. The team is led by players such as Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Mykhailo Mudryk, Thiago Silva, Marc Cucurella, César Azpilicueta, and Conor Gallagher. It has derbies with Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur and a historic rivalry with Leeds United.

Wrapping Up

Chelsea matches are generally available to watch wherever you are in the world. The only concern that you should have is determining how to watch them.

Those in the US should focus their efforts on NBC, USA Network, Peacock, Universo, Telemundo, ESPN+, Paramount+, CBS, Univision, UniMas, Galavision, and TUDN.

FuboTV is our top choice for Chelsea FC. Fubo allows you to try out its service with a free trial.

FAQs

What is Chelsea TV?

Chelsea TV does not exist. It used to be a club-focused television channel that was moved to an online-only offering in 2019. Today, content that would have been available there is now accessible through the club’s “Watch” webpage. There, you can view game highlights and full matches but only afterward as it does not offer any live coverage other than for friendlies. Also available through that webpage are press conferences and scenes from training.
