How to Watch FIFA World Cup 2023 on TV

The best thing about all the excitement is that FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 is being well-covered by US television.

NBCUniversal has acquired the rights to Spanish-language broadcasts and will be airing all the games live on Telemundo, Universo, and streaming on Peacock (deal). And Fox Sports will cover the English-language broadcasts on Fox and Fox Sports 1 (FS1).

When Are the 2023 FIFA World Cup Match Times?

All the Stars and Stripes games will air on Fox. Here is the schedule for them:

  • Fri Jul 21 : United States vs Vietnam (Fox & Telemundo)
  • Wed Jul 26 : United States vs Netherlands (Fox & Telemundo)
  • Tue Aug 1 : Portugal vs United States (Fox & Telemundo)

Stream World Cup Games With Sling TV

The Sling Blue plan features Fox and NBC channels, so it seems almost designed for watching the World Cup live. Of most importance, it includes Fox Sports 1 (FS1) and Fox (select markets — see below).

The NBC channels are generally good for watching Spanish-language broadcasts, but Sling TV doesn’t provide Telemundo. So Spanish viewers are best to look elsewhere.

But the NBC channels come in handy for watching other sporting events — in particular, Premier League soccer (and we’ve got a schedule and guide just for that!) See below for NBC availability.

Sling Blue comes with a total of 41 channels and there really is no fat in its lineup. It includes channels that the people in your household will actually watch like Adult Swim, AMC, BET, Comedy Central, FX, History, NFL Network, National Geographic, Syfy, TBS, TNT, and USA.

Some households may want to add more to this lineup. To get the ESPN channels and Disney, you’ll need to add the base Sling Orange plan (also for $40.00/mo).

PRO TIP: You can get all the channels together with Sling Orange & Blue for $55.00/mo.
