Out-of-Market New Orleans Saints Games

Are you a fan outside your team’s broadcast area? Learn to get complete access with our New Orleans Saints Out-of-Market Game Guide.

New Orleans Saints fans within the team’s broadcast area can easily watch all Sunday afternoon games, as all but one will air on their local Fox affiliate. But anyone outside this area will struggle. Our NFL Out-of-Market Football Games guide explains every way these fans can watch when away from home.

NFL Sunday Ticket is the main way, but it’s also one of the most expensive. (See our Sunday Ticket review for details.) A more economical option is to watch out-of-market NFL games with a VPN. Our recommendation for this is ExpressVPN.

Our Choice

We recommend Fubo for New Orleans Saints fans. Fubo allows you to try out its service with a free trial.

About the New Orleans Saints

Although the Saints had winning records in two of the past three seasons, these didn’t result in any playoff appearances. Those campaigns came on the heels of four straight years of 11+ wins per season, including an NFC Championship Game appearance in 2018, and Saints fans hope that kind of performance will return in 2024.

Last season was especially frustrating, as New Orleans (9-8) finished tied for the NFC South title and the final Wild Card spot but lost out on both.

It’s a positive sign that 2023 marked third-year head coach Dennis Allen’s first winning record though, as his initial Saints squad went 7-10, while he was 8-28 during his time with the Raiders (2012-14).

Changes were made elsewhere during the past offseason, including the dismissal of offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr, who was replaced by Klint Kubiak (the 49ers’ passing game coordinator in 2023, and Vikings’ offensive coordinator in 2021). Defensive coordinator Joe Woods returns for his second year in New Orleans.

In terms of players, perhaps the biggest name to no longer be a Saint is wide receiver Michael Thomas. He led the NFL in receptions in 2018 and 2019, but he’s been unable to contribute much the past few seasons due to injuries.

Looking forward, quarterback Derek Carr will be a key focus. This will be his second year in New Orleans, after spending the previous nine with the Raiders. He’s hoping for a stronger offensive line in 2024, as the four-time Pro Bowler was injured in three games last year by hits from defensive players. That weak offensive line also contributed to a poor Saints running game.

Last year’s New Orleans defense was particularly weak in pressuring opposing quarterbacks and stopping opponents’ running games, and it needs to improve if the Saints are to have a strong season this year. Newcomer defensive end Chase Young, who played for the Commanders and 49ers last year, may help that improvement happen.

The New Orleans Saints are one of only two teams to have won their sole Super Bowl appearance (the other being the New York Jets).
