About the Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have been entertaining fans for over 80 years in the Motor City where they have played at Ford Field since 2002. While it sometimes can be hard to love the Lions, who are known for never making it to the Super Bowl, fans still remain hopeful.

Head coach Dan Campbell famously said that the team was going to eat some kneecaps when he took over the job in 2021. Last year, the Lions won as many playoff games as they had since 1957 when they advanced all the way to the NFC title game. They are currently ranked in the top 5 of NFL teams.

Other Information About the Lions

Notable Lions players include Barry Sanders, Calvin Johnson, and Dick “Night Train” Lane.

The Green Bay Packers are typically considered to be the team’s biggest rival. Prior to this season, the Lions had made 13 playoff appearances since the AFL-NFL merger in 1970.
