Overview of San Antonio Brahmas
The San Antonio Brahmas replaced the LA Wildcats from the 2020 season, although given that all XFL teams are owned by the league itself, it’s hard to see the two as different teams.
The Brahmas play their home games at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. They are currently the only major professional sports league to call it home.
Head coach Hines Ward is new to the league having been on the offensive coaching staff for NFL teams Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets and most recently the wide receivers coach for the NCAA’s Florida Atlantic Owls.
Ward heads an impressive roster of talent from the NCAA, USFL, and NFL. This includes quarterbacks Reid Sinnett and Jack Coan. Featured running backs are Jon Hilliman, and Jacques Patrick. For wide receivers, the Brahmas have Jalen Tolliver and TJ Vasher. And on the offensive line there are Roubbens Joseph and Luke Juriga.
The defense also features strong talent like cornerbacks Luq Barcoo, Ryan Lewis, and Ranthony Texada. Veteran punter Brad Wing also joins the squad.
