Mohu Review: Are Their Antennas Any Good? [+ Mohu Channels Overview]

Last Updated:

If you’re new to cord-cutting, you may find it a bit overwhelming at first. There are dozens of Over-the-Top services, and even more devices designed to stream those services. Heck, these days you can even stream Netflix from your average Blu-ray player.

Mohu Is Dedicated to Changing the Way We Watch TV

However, not all services are the same; and not all devices are created equal. With that in mind, you may be tempted in purchasing a device like Roku or Chromecast. While they are both fine products, Roku doesn’t support OTA and Chromecast has limited application support.

Antenna + Video Streamer + Streaming Services = Financial Freedom

The fact is that if you want cut the cord and keep the shows you love, you’ll need a few different devices. But managing different devices means more clutter and less convenience. It is for this reason, that I want to tell you about an exciting company named Mohu, that can help fulfill all your cord cutting needs.

Mohu Channels

Not content with just making antennas, Mohu has recently entered into the streaming device market by releasing Mohu Channels.

Now, if you’re like me, you hate having to run around to different products and services just to get the same television experience you have come to expect. You want to just sit back and click from program to program using one remote control.

With Mohu Channels, you can experience a seamless transfer from watching television OTA and streaming online; that means no more crowded ports or having to turn off one device to use another. It’s built on an Android operating system that allows you download and run almost everything from the Google Play Store.

This opens up the possibility of further integrating your own digital library using media centers like Plex or Kodi.

Mohu Channels’ Android operating system also means that you can browse the internet as well. To navigate, a mini keyboard with Wii-like motion controls is included. If you’re not into motion controls, Mohu Channels is also compatible with IR-based universal remotes.

No One Does it Like Mohu

There are many companies that want to offer an all-in-one cord cutting device, but very few succeed in that goal. The Leaf and all its models are some of the best OTA antennas on the market.

If you want the total cord-cutting package, nothing ever comes close to Mohu Channels. As far as cord-cutting solutions go, no other company does it like Mohu.

He has led the efforts to create pages that fully address problems fans have watching out-of-market NFL games. And he is responsible for the site's thorough coverage of the regional sports networks that are essential for fans of MLB, NBA, and NHL.

Frank got his PhD in Atmospheric Physics from Oregon Institute of Technology back in 1995. After that, he spent much of that time developing remote sensing technology including streaming video back in the days when most people were using VHS tapes.

Since that time, Frank has become a veteran tech writer who specializes in the nexus of entertainment and technology. It was natural that he gravitated toward the streaming industry. He started streaming early, back in 2007 when Netflix introduced "instant watch." Then Hulu started and he was hooked.

Outside his work life, Frank is a longtime cord-cutter. He streams pretty much everything while his library of thousands of Blu-rays and DVDs collects dust.

Frank currently subscribes to the following streaming services:

* Amazon Prime Video
* AMC+
* Curiosity Stream / Nebula
* Hulu / Disney+ / ESPN+
* Max
* Netflix
* NFL+ Premium
* Paramount+ / Showtime
* Peacock

He streams mostly on a Roku-powered TCL TV and a VIZIO with an Amazon 4K Fire TV stick.
