I’m excited to share that Spanish-speaking viewers now have expanded options for streaming television with Hulu en Español. As a cord cutter seeking Spanish-language programming, I find this development particularly significant in today’s evolving media landscape.
It’s no secret that the Latino population is one of the fastest-growing in the United States. There are more than 50 million Latino Americans, and that number will only continue to grow over the coming decades.
Despite the size and speed in which the Latino population is expanding, most media companies have failed to tap into this wholly unexplored market. The one exception to this rule is the streaming service Hulu.
Hulu Latino gives Spanish speakers access to a ton of great series, including everything from the most recent episodes to full past seasons.

Hulu Latino Review
In 2011, the streaming service launched Hulu Latino. In the same way that Hulu offers English-speaking network television; Hulu Latino offers all the hit shows from Univision and Telemundo. In addition, Hulu Latino has started to release their own original content geared for a Latino audience.
Whether you’re Latino or are looking for new programming, Hulu Latino has a lot to offer in terms of content. If you don’t know what to watch on Hulu Latino; don’t worry, there’s a little something for everyone.

Hulu Latino Cost
Hulu en Español is only $6.99 a month, giving you access to tons of shows and movies in Spanish, including The Lord of the Skies, Land of Kings, Fear the Walking Dead, The Hunger Games, and more.
You can try Hulu Latino free for one month on-demand by visiting their website.
Hulu Latino Shows
There are many older and more recent Spanish language shows on Hulu Latino. Below are examples of some popular titles you can access on Hulu.
East Los High
Aimed at Latino teens, East Los High was Hulu Latino’s original series and follows the lives of Latino teens living inEastt LA. There’s romance, love triangles, mystery, and sex. It’s everything you’ve come to expect of teen dramas; only it’s done exceptionally well.
East Los High has been incredibly successful and has helped pave the way for other Latino-oriented original content; such as Los Cowboys.
Nuestra Belleza Latina
Translated as “Our Latin Beauty,” Nuestra Belleza Latina is a beauty pageant where 12 women compete for the eponymous title of Nuestra Belleza Latina. Each week contestants receive classes to help them in the pageant; such as dancing or runway walking.
Contestants are voted on by judges and eliminated on a weekly basis, and of course, the winner receives a large cash prize the honor being a Univision television personality. If reality television is your guilty pleasure, then you’ll love Nuestra Belleza Latina.
Metástasis
Metástasis is the Colombian remake of the hit US series Breaking Bad. If you’re unfamiliar, the story revolves around a mild-mannered, terminally ill, chemistry teacher who decides to make crystal meth so that he can leave a cushy nest egg for his family when he dies.
Metástasis is a shot-for-shot condensed version with some slight differences; for example, instead of using an RV to cook meth, they use a modified bus.
If you’re jonesing for some Breaking Bad, Metástasis will hold you over until the spinoff show, Better Call Saul is available on Netflix.
Savings Lives
If you’re looking for something a little more light-hearted than cooking crystal meth; Savings Lives will fit the bill.
Saving Lives is a new Hulu original series centered around two college friends who have fallen back on their old high school job. Hilarity ensues as these lousy lifeguards bumble around, scoping out girls, and doing anything but their intended job.
There are only a couple of episodes out right now, so catching up on this hilarious show should be a breeze.
Hulu Leads In Latino Content
Hulu is the leading provider of Latino content and may continue to be in the coming years. You may see a show about a Latino character here and there, but no company is more dedicated to providing entertainment through a Latin lens; instead of an Anglo one.
Combine that dedication with Hulu’s recent partnership with the content provider Flama and you have the recipe for market domination.
Cable television is in decline and cord-cutting is on the rise. While Hulu is leading the way in market-driven consumer content; companies like Comcast desperately cling to old perceptions and paradigms. If you want great, original, entertainment with few strings attached; you know what you have to do.
