Our Choice

Catching every Arizona Cardinals game without cable was the goal, and after testing a bunch of services, Fubo came out on top. It’s got all the right channels—FOX, CBS, NBC, ESPN, and NFL Network—so I never have to scramble to find a stream. The picture quality is solid, even during big games, and the cloud DVR is a lifesaver when I can’t watch live. The interface is easy to use, and it works on pretty much any device, so I can switch between my TV, phone, or tablet without a headache. Fubo’s sports-first approach and smoother experience made the choice easy. If you’re a Cardinals fan looking for a reliable way to watch every snap, this is the one that delivers.

About the Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have a long, storied history that dates back to 1920 and their time as the Chicago Cardinals, two cities ago. (The franchise also spent time in St Louis.) The Redbirds haven’t had much success at any of these stops though, with just two NFL championships (claimed in 1925 and 1947).

The Cardinals went 4-13 the past two seasons, the second of which was the first time their new head coach, Jonathan Gannon, had served in that role anywhere within the NFL. Arizona has only participated in one playoff game since 2015: a 34-11 loss to the Rams in the 2021 wild-card round.

There are hopes and expectations of considerable improvement in 2024 though, possibly even resulting in a playoff appearance.

Much of that rides on the shoulders of speedy quarterback Kyler Murray, who missed the first half of last season recovering from a torn ACL he’d suffered toward the end of the 2022 campaign. Arizona went a better 3-5 after his return last year, compared to the 1-8 mark it posted while he was on the sidelines.

Arizona fans are also looking for wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr, selected fourth in the draft from Ohio State, to provide a spark as a rookie, while returner Michael Wilson should also do well at that position. Jonah Williams, a free agent signing on the offensive line, should help things flow too. The Cardinals’ running game will be led by James Conner, who rushed for 1,040 yards in 2023.

The front office has put considerable effort into reworking Arizona’s defense, including signing proven free agents and drafting former college athletes with high potential to contribute from the season’s start. Those players include cornerbacks Sean Murphy-Bunting (Titans) and Max Melton (Rutgers), linebacker Mack Wilson (Patriots), and defensive linemen Justin Jones (Bears), Bilal Nichols (Raiders), and Darius Robinson (Missouri).

And, of course, Matt Prater, who will be 40 at the season’s start, returns as kicker. He made nine 50+-yard field goals in 2023, a career-high.
