Georgia Bulldogs vs Florida State Seminoles
The 2023 Orange Bowl features a matchup between the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and the Atlantic Coast Conference. Two of the best teams in NCAA football will compete: the Georgia Bulldogs and the Florida State Seminoles.
The Georgia Bulldogs are coming off back-to-back CFP National Championships. Their ranking has fallen this season but they still ended with a 12-1 (8-0 in-conference) record — only falling in the postseason to Alabama by a field goal in the SEC Championship.
FSU went undefeated this season — including winning the ACC Championship 16-6 over Louisville. They should be in a great position in this matchup with the Bulldogs. Unfortunately, much of their team will not be playing in the Orange Bowl — of particular note is quarterback Jordan Travis.
Georgia Bulldogs Personnel
Kirby Smart is in his eighth season as head coach of the Bulldogs. With him are offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and defensive coordinators Glenn Schumann and Will Muschamp.
The Bulldogs’ offense is led by quarterback Carson Beck along with running backs Daijun Edwards and Kendall Milton, wide receivers Dominic Lovett, Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, and Ladd McConkey, and tight end Brock Bowers.
The Bulldogs’ defense features linebackers Smael Mondon Jr, CJ Allen, and Jamon Dumas-Johnson, defensive backs Kamari Lassiter, Malaki Starks, Daylen Everette, Javon Bullard, and Tykee Smith, and linemen Nazir Stackhouse, Warren Brinson, and Mykel Williams.
Florida State Seminoles Personnel
Head coach Mike Norvell is in his fourth season with the Seminoles. With him are offensive coordinator Alex Atkins and defensive coordinators Adam Fuller and Randy Shannon.
Quarterback Tate Rodemaker should lead the Seminoles’ offense along with running back Trey Benson, wide receiver Keon Coleman, and tight end Jaheim Bell.
