What Is Fox Deportes?

Fox Deportes was launched in 1993 and went by the name La Cadena Deportiva Prime Ticket. The network was affiliated with the Prime Ticket regional sports network that is known today as Bally Sports SoCal.

Since 1996, the channel has been known by a variety of names such as Fox Sports Americas, Fox Sports World Espanol, and Fox Sports en Espanol. In 2010, the channel was rebranded under its current name.

Shows, live events, and other programs mostly presented fully in Spanish. But some content is provided in English with Spanish on-screen graphics.

Fox Deportes Live Sports

Fox Deportes is the home for games featuring teams from domestic leagues such as Major League Soccer (MLS), Liga MX, and Liga MX Femenil.

Finally, you may be able to watch soccer matches involving teams in the Bundesliga, which is one of the top leagues in Germany.

In addition to soccer, Fox Deportes broadcasts games involving NFL and major college football programs. The Super Bowl is shown in Spanish on this channel in any year that Fox has the rights to the game. It’s also been common practice in recent years to show the annual Thanksgiving day game on this channel.

Regular season Major League Baseball (MLB) games are shown on Fox Deportes, and it is the only place to watch them with Spanish audio. Playoff and World Series contests are also shown on this channel with full Spanish audio.

Finally, Fox Deportes broadcasts a variety of other content including the Daytona 500, Friday Night Smackdown, and boxing matches.

Central Fox is one of the most popular shows on this network, and it provides coverage of any sport that is making headlines around the world on a given night. This program is based in Mexico City and is produced by Fox Sports Mexico.

El Chiringuito de Jugones is a show that is based in Spain and is licensed for broadcast in the United States on Fox Deportes. The show focuses mostly on European soccer, but it also devotes a fair amount of time to storylines that emerge from La Liga.

Finally, La Ultima Palabra features a series of commentators providing their own opinions on the biggest news in sports today. The show uses a debate format similar to the one used on Undisputed, which airs on FS1.

Our Choice

I checked out a bunch of streaming services, and Fubo came out on top for Fox Deportes. With over 150 channels, it’s packed with sports and more – perfect for keeping up with all the action. The stream quality didn’t miss a beat, and it was super easy to navigate. I also really liked the DVR setup; saving games to watch later was a breeze. Plus, it works on almost any device, so I could switch between screens without any trouble. Compared to others like Hulu + Live TV or DIRECTV, Fubo’s focus on sports and all-around ease made it the best pick for fans like me.

FAQ

Does Thursday Night Football air on Fox Deportes?

Fox had the rights to simulcast Thursday Night Football (TNF) games through the 2021-2022 season. However, starting in September 2022, the rights to those games will be shifting to Amazon Prime. Therefore, Fox Deportes will not broadcast TNF contests going forward. Of course, it’s likely that there will still be a way to watch these games in Spanish after the new rights deal takes effect.
