It is now in its third decade showing some of the best talent in the south with conference tie-ins with the Sun Belt Conference and Conference USA. Its name has been fairly consistent but it did change a bit at first for sponsoring reasons:

The 2023 New Orleans Bowl features the Sun Belt Conference against Conference USA. But the teams are not as evenly matched as the conferences might imply.
Jacksonville State had an excellent season — their second straight. The ended the season with a 8-4 record — 6-2 in-conference. This was good enough for third place in Conference USA — behind Liberty and New Mexico State.
From 2019 through 2021, Louisiana was one of the top teams in Conference USA — and generally ranked in the top 20 nationwide. But they haven’t been the same since with roughly 500 seasons last year and this.
Michael Desormeaux has been the head coach of the Ragin’ Cajuns for the last two seasons where he has a record of 13-13. He is supported by offensive coordinator Tim Leger and defensive coordinator LaMar Morgan.
Zeon Chriss is the Ragin’ Cajuns’ primary quarterback but a broken fibula during the November 4th game with the Razorbacks put him out of commission for the rest of the season. As a result, Chandler Fields has been leading the team as quarterback.
The offense features running backs Jacob Kibodi and Dre’lyn Washington, wide receivers Jacob Bernard, Peter LeBlanc, Robert Williams, and Harvey Broussard, and tight ends Neal Johnson and Terrance Carter.
The defense features linebackers KC Ossai, Jasper Williams, Kendre’ Gant, Cameron Whitfield, Kailep Edwards, and Tyler Guidry; defensive backs Keyon Martin, Shadwel Nkuba II, Tyree Skipper, Glenn Brown, Caleb Anderson, Patrick Mensah, Tyrone Lewis Jr, Jalen Clark, and Courtline Flowers; and linemen Jordan Lawson, Mason Narcisse, and Antoine Baylis.
Rich Rodriguez is the head coach of the Gamecocks. He is joined by offensive coordinator Rod Smith and defensive coordinator Zac Alley. They have all been at Jacksonville State for two seasons.
Quarterback Zion Webb leads the offense. With him are running back Malik Jackson, wide receivers Perry Carter, Quinton Lane, and Michael Pettway, and tight end Sean Brown.
On defense are linebackers Quae Drake, Laletia Hale, and Larry Worth, defensive backs Derek Carter, Fred Perry, Kekoura Tarnue, Jabari Mack, and Jeremiah Harris, and linemen Chris Hardie, Jeff Marks, Curley Young Jr, Jaylen Swain, and Jackson Luttrell.
After exploring various streaming services to catch the New Orleans Bowl, I found Fubo to be the standout choice. Its extensive lineup of over 150 channels, including ESPN, ensures you won’t miss the game. The streaming quality is top-notch, and I appreciate the user-friendly interface that makes navigation a breeze. The unlimited cloud DVR is a game-changer, letting me record the game and watch it at my convenience. Plus, Fubo’s compatibility with devices like Roku, mobile devices, Apple TV, Chromecast, and more means you can watch on your preferred screen. While other services like Sling TV offer ESPN at a more affordable rate, they come with fewer channels. For a comprehensive sports streaming experience, Fubo offers the best value.
