Fubo Overview
Fubo started as a way for soccer fans in the US to watch matches all over the world. And even today, Fubo remains the best streaming service for international sports fans. It offers an excellent general streaming service that is competitive with all the other industry leaders. See our Fubo review for details.
It’s base package includes 150+ channels for $79.99/month after a free trial. Along with this, you get an unlimited cloud DVR and streaming on up to 10 devices at one time. It is also possible to watch in 4K with an upgrade.
Fubo’s Supported Streaming Devices
Fubo does not support quite as many devices as some live TV streaming services like Hulu. But those that it doesn’t support are less popular. Fubo’s supported devices are roughly the same as those for YouTube TV and Sling TV.

Amazon Fire TV
Amazon Fire TV is one of the most popular devices for streaming live TV. Fubo is compatible with all Fire TV devices, as well as TVs that have Fire TV built-in (specifically Insignia, Toshiba, and Element models).
These devices must have Android OS 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher, which shouldn’t be a problem. For example, Fubo will run on all Fire tablets from 2015 onward.
Android Mobile
You can stream Fubo using an Android app that works on Google approved mobile phones and tablets. These devices must have Android OS 5.0 or higher installed.
Android TV
You can stream Fubo directly to your TV if you have a Google-approved Android TV device or a TV with Android TV built-in. Just like with Android Mobile or Amazon Fire TV, you need to make sure your device has Android OS 5.0 or higher installed. This includes specific models from Asus, Hisense, Panasonic, Philips, Sharp, Sony, and TCL. But there are many more manufacturers (see Fubo support).
Apple TV
You can also stream Fubo on your Apple TV. All devices 4th generation or later are supported. That’s 2015 onward. You may also want to update your device’s tvOS to version v13.0 or higher. This will help make sure your viewing experience is flawless.
Browsers
Haven’t sprung for a smart TV yet? No problem. You can also watch Fubo on both Mac and PC computers. Just make sure to use the latest version of Chrome, EDGE, Firefox, or Safari.
Note that you can run Fubo on a laptop and connect it to your TV through an HDMI cable. It’s a bit cumbersome but works very well.
Chromecast
Chromecast is another option for watching Fubo. You can stream content using either Chromecast (2nd generation or later) or Chromecast Ultra. You can also watch using a TV with Google Cast built-in, such as Vizio SmartCast 3.0 TVs. You can do this using an Android or iOS device — or just a Chrome browser.
iPhone, iPad, and iPod
Fubo is compatible with several Apple products. Stream the big game on your iPhone 6s or newer. You can also watch on the iPad Pro, iPad Air 2 or newer, iPad 5th generation or newer, or the iPad Mini 2 or newer.
The Fubo app will also work with the iPod Touch Generation 7 or newer. You should be able to stream on any device using iOS v13.0 or higher.
Roku
The Fubo app is compatible with any Roku device that can still receive OS updates. This is because older devices may not have the features needed to support the streaming app.
For streaming with limited functionality (no autoplay or background video), you’ll need a Roku Model 3600X. For full support, you need Model 3700X or newer. Roku is one of the most popular Fubo devices.
Samsung Smart TV
Samsung Smart TV models released since 2015 are compatible with Fubo. However, not all features are available. The streaming service is looking to introduce additional features in the near future.
4K Devices for Fubo
With its Elite and Ultimate plans, Fubo offers many live events every year in 4K. As with pretty much every other provider, this is upscaled. But it still looks great.
If you want to watch these events in 4K, however, you need a device that displays 4K. Before I list the devices, note that some events also require HDR10. Additionally, you need to use an HDMI 2.0/HDCP 2.2 cable. And Fubo recommends a minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps.

Our Choice
Fubo offers great support for devices. Of course, if you are committed to a device that is not supported (eg, PlayStation units), that is a deal-breaker. But Fubo offers support for the devices that most people have. In fact, most people have multiple supported devices.

FAQs
Can I skip commercials on Fubo?
You can’t skip commercials on live TV just as you can’t with cable or through an antenna. But for programs that are recorded on your included cloud DVR, you can skip commercials. This is not true of all streaming services. Hulu, for example, charges extra for this ability.
What is Fubo Connect?
Fubo Connect (or FuboTV Connect) is a system for logging into your Fubo account on a device without entering your username and password. For example, on Amazon Fire TV, you can enter your login information or just “Sign in with a code.” If you use the latter method, the Fubo app gives you a code, which you enter on your computer by going to https://fubo.tv/connect. It works the same on most other devices.
