Sling TV Channels List: Overview
We’ll get into the detailed Sling TV channels list below, but first let’s start with an overview of what’s on offer.
Sling TV has two base packages, and then options to expand your selection with add-ons. You can also get both base packages combined at a discounted rate.
Here’s a summary:
- Sling Orange – $40.00/mo – 30+ channels (including ESPN networks)
- Sling Blue – $40.00/mo – 40+ channels (does not include ESPN networks, but does have NBC and Fox channels)
- Sling Orange + Blue – $55.00/mo – 50+ channels (includes everything in Orange and Blue combined)
On top of these, there are over a dozen add-on packages — “Extras” — that allow you to expand your channel selection with additions from certain categories. And then you can round out your selection with a few premium channels or services.
Details on these Sling TV add-ons can be found below.
Sling TV Base Plans: Detailed Breakdown
Now, let’s take a closer look at the various Sling TV plans to get a better idea of which one might be the best option for your viewing preferences (and budget).
Here’s a table where you can see which channels are included in each plan:
|🔵||🟠||🔵 + 🟠|
|Fox Sports 1 (FS1)||✔️||❌||✔️|
Sling Orange Package ($40.00/mo)
Total Channels: 30+
Cost Per Month: $40.00/mo
Target Audience: Sports fans, general
The Sling Orange package is one of Sling’s most popular plans and for good reason. It provides a very affordable way to watch live TV – including live sports – without cable.
Networks like ESPN, AMC, TNT, and Comedy Central are some highlights of this package, although looking at the full channel list, you’ll see that there’s a diverse mix of channels available.
The main thing missing from the Orange channel lineup is Sling TV local channels like NBC and Fox (and their sister channels, like FX and Syfy), which are included in Sling Blue, discussed below.
Sling Blue Package ($40.00/mo)
Total Channels: 40+
Cost Per Month: $40.00/mo
Target Audience: Families, movie fans, general
The Sling Blue package offers significantly more channels than Sling Orange, and also adds local networks like Fox and NBC (in select areas). However, it does NOT include the ESPN family of networks. It still has Fox Sports 1, though.
This is the biggest difference between the two plans – Orange has ESPN’s networks, while Blue loses ESPN but gains local stations. The best Sling TV package for you just depends on your viewing preferences.
Sling Orange + Blue Package ($55.00/mo)
Total Channels: 50+
Cost Per Month: $55.00/mo
Target Audience: Everyone
Sling Orange + Blue combines the best of both worlds, offering all the channels that are included in both base packages. You also get $70 worth of packages for just $55.00/mo. The Orange + Blue combo also opens up the opportunity to access all add-ons, since add-on plans vary channel selection based on whether you have Orange or Blue (Disney Junior and XD in the Orange Kids Extra, for instance).
For viewers who want sports channels, local networks, and a solid base of entertainment channels, Sling Orange + Blue is a great option.
What About Add-Ons?
In addition to the Sling TV base packages, users can choose from a wide variety of add-ons to expand their channel selection. Most of these packages cover specific topics, such as sports or kids or lifestyle.
Also, note that for some packages, the selection of channels that are added varies depending on what base package you have.
Sling offers slightly different channels in the expansion packs, depending on which base plan you have. If you have both, there are no restrictions. Of the extras listed below, you can get all available packs with your Sling TV plan for $21 per month, or get four of them for $13.
Here are the add-on packs with the channels included:

Other Extras & Add-Ons
In addition to the channel add-ons, you can also get DVR Plus, which upgrades you to 200 hours of DVR storage space for $5 per month. This is also included in the Total TV Deal where you get all available extras with your base subscription or combo plan for $21 per month.
Sling also offers international channels and bundles — see this guide to what languages are supported.
Sling TV Package Deals and Bonus Features
Keep in mind that deals can change frequently – check out this list of Sling TV offers for up-to-date information. Sling often has a special on your first month of service.
So here are the two main add-on deals you can get:
Total TV Deal – $21 per month
The Total TV Deal adds all the channels included in Sports Extra, Kids Extra, Comedy Extra, News Extra, Lifestyle Extra, Heartland Extra, and Hollywood Extra. It also gives you enhanced cloud DVR.
In total, all these add-ons would cost $40+ per month if purchased separately, so $21/mo for this bundle is a great deal. It is $27/mo for the Orange + Blue plan.
4 Extras Deal – $13 per month
The 4 Extras Deal is also a good value. It adds the four most popular expansion packs, at a discounted price. This adds all the channels from Kids Extra, Comedy Extra, News Extra, and Lifestyle Extra. It is $13/mo regardless of the plan.
This may seem like a lot of information to digest. Fortunately, Sling TV’s user interface is well designed, and the channels available to you are made clear during the signup process.
For those that are new to Sling TV, we recommend signing up for one of the base packages. Save 50% on your first month of Sling TV. That will give you time to explore the service, and see if it includes enough channels. If you’re craving more selection, you can simply add some expansion packs whenever you want.
And remember, Sling TV is non-contract (as are all the add-ons), so you’re never locked in for more than a month at a time!

Does Sling TV come with local channels?
Yes, but there are caveats. Sling Blue, one of Sling’s two base packages, comes with Fox and NBC in select markets. So if you live in a major media market (that’s a big city that watches a lot of TV, like Los Angeles, Dallas, or Chicago), you’ll probably have access to them. Check out our guide to Sling’s local channels to see if you’re covered.
So that just leaves ABC and CBS, for the Big Four. Sling has a unique approach to local channels — if you prepay 2 months of Sling, they will give you an HD antenna, totally free. Throughout most of the country, this will give you all four major networks, plus PBS, Spanish stations Univision and Telemundo, and other independents and local stations in your neck of the woods.
