How to Watch the College Football National Championship Without Cable TV

If you’re someone who has decided to get rid of cable, the best way to watch the College Football Playoff National Championship game online is to use a service like Fubo or Sling TV.

What are these services? In a lot of ways, they are similar to cable TV. They provide a lineup of channels that you can watch live, and both include Fox which is set to stream the game. The advantages that they offer over cable are lower prices, more flexibility, and greater viewing options.

To watch the CFP Championship online, here’s what you should do.

  1. Choose your package
  2. Sign in on your device (use a streaming player, computer, smartphone, etc.)
  3. Tune in to Fox at game time, and enjoy!
  4. Cancel at any time, as these services are non-contract.

Since FOX is included, both of these services will also let you watch all the other College Bowl games. So it’s definitely worth keeping them around if you’re a sports fan.

NCAA College Football Playoff National Championship Analysis: Michigan Wolverines vs Washington Huskies

The CFP National Championship features the number 1 and 2 teams in the NCAA rankings. This is a slight surprise because the smart money thought the Texas Longhorns would defeat the Huskies. And they came close but just couldn’t pull it out in the end. Michigan too struggled to defeat the Crimson Tide.

The odds for this matchup are pretty consistent across the sports books:

  • Line: Michigan Wolverines by 4.5
  • Moneyline: Michigan -185; Washington +155
  • Over/Under: 55.5

Washington Huskies Personnel

Kalen DeBoer is head coach of the Huskies. With him are long-time collaborators offensive coordinator William Inge and defensive coordinator Chuck Morrell.

Quarterback Michael Penix Jr leads the offense. He is joined by running back Dillon Johnson, wide receivers Rome Odunze, Ja’Lynn Polk, Jalen McMillan, and Germie Bernard, and tight end Jack Westover.

The Huskies’ defense is led by linebacker Edefuan Ulofoshio and defensive ends Zion Tupuola-Fetui, Asa Turner, Elijah Jackson, and Jabbar Muhammad.

Michigan Wolverines Personnel

Jim Harbaugh is head coach of the Wolverines. With him are offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter.

Quarterback JJ McCarthy leads the Michigan offense. Also leading the offense are running backs Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards, wide receivers Roman Wilson and Cornelius Johnson, and tight end Colston Loveland.

Michigan has a strong defense. It features linebackers Michael Barrett, Junior Colson, and Ernest Hausmann; defensive backs Will Johnson, Josh Wallace, Mike Sainristil, Rod Moore, and Makari Paige; and linemen Mason Graham, Kris Jenkins, Kenneth Grant, Braiden McGregor, Derrick Moore, and Josaiah Stewart.

Our Choice

After checking out all the options, Fubo came out on top for watching the College Football Playoff National Championship. The sports lineup is unbeatable – over 35 dedicated sports channels, so you’re covered beyond just the big game. Streaming is smooth with barely any buffering, even when the action gets intense. The unlimited cloud DVR is a huge plus, letting you rewind and catch anything you missed. It’s super easy to use and works on pretty much any device, so you’re not stuck watching on just one screen.
