The Red Raiders started off the season with a sketchy record, but the team later scored major victories against staunch rivals such as Oklahoma State. The Rebels arrive with a losing streak, but with a hunger for redemption in the postseason.
Texas Tech previously won the Texas Bowl 10 years ago, and it returned to NRG Stadium as recently as 2015. For the Ole Miss team, this will be their first time representing the SEC.
These teams have a matchup history of six games, and the Rebels have won four times. Despite the losing streak that Ole Miss arrives with, sportsbook managers in Las Vegas are giving the Rebels an edge in the odds to win by a tight spread.
