Are you still looking for other services that you can use to watch the Birmingham Bowl without cable? If you are, you’ve got a few more additional options. Here are the final ways you can stream ESPN without cable:
The 2023 Birmingham Bowl pits the Sun Belt Conference against the ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference).
The Troy Trojans from Troy University had an outstanding season this year with an 11-2 record (7-1 in-conference) and the championship win. They fell only to Kansas State and James Madison early in the season. (James Madison wasn’t qualified for the championship because they are transitioning from the Division I-AA.)
The Duke Blue Devils from Duke University did not have as good a season this year, even with a 7-5 (4-4 in-conference) record, as this year had a very strong ACC featuring four Top 25 teams. They did manage to take Number 25 North Carolina to double overtime and could easily have ended the season 9-3.
Head coach Jon Sumrall has had two great seasons with the Trojans. He was just hired by Tulane, so won’t be with the team at the Birmingham Bowl. Defensive coordinator Greg Gasparato will act as interim head coach instead, with offensive coordinator Joe Craddock.
The offense is headed by quarterback Gunnar Watson with running back Kimani Vidal, wide receivers Jabre Barber, Chris Lewis, Deshon Stoudemire, and Devonte Ross, and tight end Ethan Conner.
On defense are linebackers Jayden McDonald, Jordan Stringer, Richard Jibunor, and Javon Solomon, defensive backs Reddy Steward, Dell Pettus, O’shai Fletcher, Irshaad Davis, Don Callis, Caleb Ransaw, and Keyshawn Swanson, and linemen Buddha Jones, TJ Jackson, and Luis Medina.
Head coach Mike Elko has left for Texas A&M, so the Blue Devils will be led by assistant head coach Trooper Taylor. With him are offensive coordinator Kevin Johns and defensive coordinators Tyler Santucci and Lyle Hemphill.
Riley Leonard had been the Blue Devils’ starting quarterback, but a toe injury kept him out of the second half of this season, so the offense was headed by freshman quarterback Grayson Loftis. With him are running backs Jordan Waters and Jaquez Moore, wide receivers Jordan Moore, Jalon Calhoun, and Sahmir Hagans, and tight end Nicky Dalmolin.
On defense are linebackers Tre Freeman, Dorian Mausi, and Nick Morris Jr, defensive backs Al Blades Jr, Jaylen Stinson, Chandler Rivers, and Jeremiah Lewis, and linemen Brandon Johnson, Aeneas Peebles, DeWayne Carter, and Wesley Williams.
For the Birmingham Bowl, I landed on Fubo as the standout option after comparing it with other streaming services] Fubo’s combination of exceptional streaming quality – even during live games – and an extensive channel lineup, including ABC, made it a clear winner. The intuitive DVR lets you save the game for later, while the user-friendly interface ensures you don’t waste time navigating during kickoff. Unlike competitors, Fubo shines with its reliability on various devices and offers extra sports content, perfect for NCAA fans. While Sling is great for budget-conscious viewers, its limited DVR features and fewer channels didn’t match Fubo’s overall value. If you want seamless streaming with robust features tailored to sports enthusiasts, Fubo checks all the boxes.
