Our boys fought hard, but ultimately Japan won the World Baseball Classic. But, Angel and team captain Mike Trout had such fun, he’s already committed to being on the 2026 Team USA. And now the all-stars from the US team are back at Spring Training, getting ready for the opener.

The bad news is that the majority of games are not nationally televised. You can watch your local teams on your local regional sports network (RSN), but that’s about it. But of the games that are broadcast nationally, they’ll be on MLB Network and ESPN– and Sling carries both.

Where to Watch MLB Opening Day 2023

More bad news: even with Opening Day less than 10 days away, MLB.com does not appear to be a complete listing of how all 15 games will be televised. The best information we could find is that MLB Network will have select games throughout the day, and then ESPN (confirmed on ESPN’s website) will air the White SoxAstros game in the evening.

Beyond MLB Opening Day, though, Sling also has Fox, FS1, and TBS, all of which carry ballgames throughout the 2023 MLB season. For more information, have a look at our general guide to streaming baseball.

FAQ

How can I watch every single MLB game?

Short answer: you can’t. Nationally televised games are scattered across half a dozen services and channels. Fox and FS1 have Saturday games, and a few weeknight matchups. TBS airs Tuesday night games, ESPN Sunday nights, Apple TV+ Friday nights, and Peacock Sunday afternoons. ESPN+ and MLB Network will broadcast select games daily.

What is MLB.TV?

MLB.TV is a subscription service which carries all the out-of-market games. But if you want to watch your local team’s games, you’ll need a service with regional sports networks. MLB broadcast rules require games be blacked out in their home markets.
