If your interest in sports goes beyond MLB/NBA/NFL/NHL, you need FloSports. It offers a wide range of sports at all levels — including, of course, baseball, basketball, football (American and otherwise), and hockey.

In a hurry? FloSports costs $29.99/mo but you are much better off getting its yearly plan at less than half the monthly cost for $149.99/yr.

Watch over 200,000 Events With Flo!

FloSports is a streaming service that is similar to ESPN+ in a lot of ways. But dissimilar in others.

It offers exclusive access to a significant number of events in a wide variety of sports. Although you cannot watch MLB, NFL, NBA, NHL, or MLS games on it, it can be perfect for you if you have any niche interests that it offers. Also note that a number of NCAA Division I sporting events are available.

The cost for this service is $29.99/mo or $149.99/yr.

FloSports Basics

FloSports was founded in 2006, and its vision is, “Undeserved sports finally get the love they deserve.” In other words, it was founded and continues to have its focus be non-mainstream sports.

Running is one example. In 2007, a FloSports video showed Ryan Hall winning the Houston Half Marathon with a US-record time, which also marked the first time that an American had gone that distance in less than an hour. This video, which included an interview with his wife, helped push FloSports more into the forefront.

However, it has experienced issues as well. A couple of examples occurred when it partnered with a pair of MLS clubs — DC United and FC Cincinnati — in 2019. There were early technical difficulties — especially regarding geofencing restrictions. Ultimately, both teams cut their contracts short.

Since then, however, FloSports has entered into numerous other problem-free contracts and last year signed contracts with AAU Track and Field, USA Gymnastics, and NASCAR.

FloSports Programming

The focus of FloSports is on live and on-demand archived sports events. But it offers more than that.

Shows

FloSports has original content available for viewing.

For example, those who head to FloWrestling can view The Bader Show, a repeating show, and standalone ones such as Emma Bruntil Overcame Serious Injuries to Win Yariguin Title.

Meanwhile, examples in its FloTrack channel include Grant Holloway Is Untouchable in the 60mH and Best Indoor Races Of The Weekend, the latter of which being a podcast.

Sports

FloSports is divided into 23 subchannels that focus on different sports. There’s a bit more to it than that, but this list breaks it down:

  • FloBaseball is the destination for baseball fans. During the summers, it carries summer league games. Prior to then, it streams college games from a variety of conferences, including the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA). FloBaseball also shows a selection of early-season non-conference tournaments, such as the Round Rock Classic.
  • FloBikes is for bicycling enthusiasts as it allows you to watch some of the world’s top races, such as Paris-Nice and the Tour de Suisse. The Tour de France may also be viewed by FloBikes subscribers in Canada now. That option might open up to those in the US in the future.
  • FloBowling offers an impressive collection of competitions, such as PBA events, including the World Series of Bowling and the Players Championship. High school matchups may be watched as well.

  • FloElite displays the best of elite fitness. Events covered have included Wodapalooza, a fitness festival. However, this is another of FloSports’ channels that has gone years between streaming events.
  • FloFC is your destination to watch the beautiful game. Do note that it focuses on college and high school soccer matches with the former collection featuring Big East and CAA contests. These include Georgetown men’s matchups. The Hoyas won the national title in 2019 and also made the College Cup in 2012 and 2021.
  • FloFootball‘s focuses are the college and high school seasons. Some of its most watched games are James Madison contests. The Dukes won FCS titles in 2004 and 2016 and qualified for postseason play six times in the seven-year span of 2015-21. Pop Warner Super Bowl Championships are available here as well.

FloSports Payment Plans

To purchase a year’s worth of access to FloSports, which includes access to all of the channels noted above, it will cost $149.99. If you would like to instead pay for a month at a time for the same, you can do so at a monthly cost of $29.99.

Do be careful. There have been many complaints from people intending to subscribe for a month and getting a yearly plan. It is the default choice. See below if this happens to you.

Note that if you attempt to subscribe to a channel and are told that a monthly rate is not available for it and that your only options are paying $149.99 for a year or not getting it, you can instead subscribe to a different channel or directly from the FloSports site. Paying for one grants you access to all of them.

DVR

FloSports provides its subscribers with a cloud DVR feature that can be used while watching a live event. It may be rewound to its beginning as long as doing so does not exceed its six-hour limit.

In addition, the event ending in real-time will not affect your viewing experience. With all of that said, keep in mind that this feature may only be accessed on FloSports’ website.

Simultaneous Screens

If you or others are watching FloSports content from the same internet connection, you can view up to 12 streams simultaneously. Conversely, you cannot stream from more than one internet connection at the same time. This is typical of the industry as a whole.

Streaming Devices for FloSports

FloSports provides support for most of the streaming devices in use today.

It only guarantees support for Mozilla’s Firefox and Google’s Chrome browsers. However, you should be fine with any standards-compliant browser.

You can access FloSports on smartphones and tablets running iOS and Android operating systems.

FAQs

What is MileSplit?

MileSplit is similar to FloTrack with the primary difference being that MileSplit focuses on high school events. Otherwise, both cover various cross country and track and field competitions. Among the most-watched streams on MileSplit are events at state championship meets from around the country.

What is Dirt on Dirt?

Dirt on Dirt is a website that focuses on Dirt Late Model racing. Although it provides plenty of content related to this sport that may be of interest to you, if you want to watch race coverage, you would be directed to FloRacing and asked to purchase a subscription there.

What is FloArena?

FloArena is not a service that anyone simply watching FloSports content will usually interact with. It is for those who are interested in setting up wrestling and grappling competitions. Of course, if this is you, then you are in the right place. But if it is not, you should head to FloWrestling or FloGrappling instead.

How come there is no sound?

If you are watching an on-demand archived broadcast of a FloCheer, Varsity TV, FloMarching, or FloVoice event, you may not hear any sound due to its usually extensive amount of music, music for which FloSports does not own the rights. However, sound should be included in all livestreams.

How come my monthly charge is $149.99?

If you intended to pay $29.99 for a month and were instead charged $149.99, that means that you paid for a year instead. Do your best to avoid this situation, but if you do find yourself in it, head to FloSports’ support site and click on “Contact Support” at the bottom of a page that showcases one of the answers to its collection of FAQs.
