The NBA In-Season Tournament starts on Friday, November 3rd. The group stage runs through Tuesday, November 28th. There will be 7 knockout games after that: 4 quarterfinals, 2 semifinals, and 1 final.

All 30 NBA teams will take part in the In-Season Tournament. The winning team gets the NBA Cup.

How to Watch the NBA In-Season Tournament

Many of the Group Play games will be broadcast nationally on ESPN and TNT. Two will also be broadcast on NBA TV. All the knockout games will be nationally broadcast. We assume these will also be on ESPN and TNT, but we don’t yet know. We will update this page when we do.

The rest of these games will air locally and on NBA League Pass. The local games will air on the teams’ RSNs. For complete information on this, see our NBA viewer’s guide.

For out-of-market fans, see our NBA League Pass review for all the details about it.

Streaming the In-Season Tournament

There are a number of streaming services that will allow you to stream the In-Season tournament — most notably DIRECTV STREAM and Fubo. But they are notably more expensive than our top choice: Sling TV.

The Sling Orange plan costs $40.00/mo (and just half that for the first month). It comes with both ESPN and TNT. If you also want NBA TV, you can get it along with other channels in the Sports Extra add-on for $11/mo. And if you want to watch almost all the games, you can do so by adding NBA League Pass as an add-on for $14.99/mo. It allows you to watch all out-of-market games.

If you are focused on one local team, you will need to get the team’s RSN. Sling TV doesn’t offer any of these. The reason is simple: these are the most expensive channels to license, so you simply don’t find them with low-cost streaming services — or usually even with high-cost streaming services!

What Does Sling TV Come With?

The Sling Orange plan comes with 32 total channels. In addition to TNT and ESPN, it comes with The Disney Channel, ESPN2, ESPN3, Freeform, MotorTrend, and QVC.

And it comes with A&E, AMC, AXS TV, BBC America, BET, Bloomberg TV, Charge!, CNN, Cartoon Network (Adult Swim), Comedy Central, Comet, Food Network, Fuse, HGTV, History Channel, IFC, Investigation Discovery (ID), Lifetime, Local Now, MGM+ Drive-In, Nick Jr, TBS, Travel Channel, and Vice.

The plan also comes with a cloud DVR featuring 50 hours of storage.

One downside is that you are limited to streaming on a single device. But it supports pretty much all devices in use today including: Amazon Fire TV, Android mobile, Android TV-based smart TVs, Apple TV, Chromecast, iOS, LG, Samsung, and Vizio smart TVs, web browsers, and Xbox gaming systems.
