How to watch the World Cup in Ukraine

Last Updated:

It is once again time for the most exciting sports tournament in the world of association football, Qatar 2022. Sadly, Ukraine did not advance past the qualifying stage, but Ukrainians will still have a chance to enjoy watching all 64 tournament matches.

TV Channels to Watch World Cup 2022 in Ukraine

The television broadcasting rights for Ukraine belong to the Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine, also known as Suspilne. As Ukrainians know, of course, this is simply the name of the company and not the channel.

Pershyi, also known as the First Channel, will show the game on broadcast television, meaning that no cable or other premium subscription will be required to enjoy the games.

This channel is the only way to see the game, as Football One, Football Two, and Football Three stopped operating earlier this year after the owner of Media Group Ukraine, Rinat Akhmetov, decided to close down the company and give all of their broadcasting rights over to the Public Broadcasting Company.

How to Stream Qatar 2022 in Ukraine

Using the Suspilne app will allow Ukrainians inside the country to stream all tournament games without a cable subscription. Additionally, the popular streaming company MEGOGO will offer the games on its app, which is also available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Both companies’ feeds are also available via internet web browsers such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or Mozilla Firefox, for users located within the borders of Ukraine.

Although MEGOGO is available in many countries in the region, it uses a different catalog in each country. As other countries have their own exclusive providers for this year’s tournament, the games may not be available to stream in all countries.

Devices to Live Stream Qatar 2022 in China

There are many different devices that will be able to stream the games, including iPhones, iPads, and Apple TVs, using the Suspilne or MEGOGO apps downloaded from the App Store. Android phone and tablet users can get the same apps from The Google Play Store as well.

The games can also be accessed via a web browser on a laptop or desktop computer, which users with Google Chromecast or Roku devices can use to watch the game on a television set instead of the computer screen.
