Each May, the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) holds a championship for the best of the women’s student-athletes teams. The college beach volleyball championship is the NCAA’s newest athletics championship. The tournament has been held in Gulf Shores, Alabama, hosted by Orange Beach Sports & Events and the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB), since the inaugural event in 2016. The 2024 edition will also take place here, but the championship will move to Huntington Beach, California in 2025 and 2026.

What Are the Dates for the 2024 Beach Volleyball World Championships?
The regular season ended in April, and eligible teams for the post-season tournament undergo seeding from no. 1 to no. 17 based on their current standings. These seventeen teams will be announced on April 25. The championship will then take place over three days, starting on Friday, May 3, beginning with a play-in between the two lowest-seeded teams.
